    RAF 100 Flypast

I know that there are many aviation enthusiasts on here, just a reminder about the up coming 100th flypast on the 10th. Here’s hoping that the awesome weather will hold out, we’ve got the last practice tomorrow before the big day!

They put on a fantastic show over Llandudno bay on Saturday, brilliant experience.

The flightpath is directly over my house and I'm not working on the 10th! Seen plenty of flypasts as they always fly the same route when going towards London.

What a great place to view from.

I live in Colchester and the fly pasts always fly over the garden, love it. But how do they manage to get all the planes to hit London at the same time, given the different speeds they can all fly at?

Dad was in the RAF when he first came to England and sister joined as a nurse.

That’s the new F-35-B, or the Lightning II as it’s been named by the RAF. It will operate off the new carriers when ready.

Yes looking forward to it, had the Tucano's at my place today for the rehearsal, forecast looks good, "Per ardua ad astra".

I'm probably going to take an away-day to London tomorrow, to arrive in time for a wander and watch the fly past. Anyone know any details? I mean, I know where the fly past is going and when, but are there barriers/tickets etc?

Thing is, my son went to New Year's Eve a while back and didn't even get to see the fireworks, it was so busy. Just wondering if it might be the same sort of thing tomorrow? Anyone any thoughts?

3 Bell Boeing V22 Ospreys have just flown over North London ( what magnificent machines), don't think the RAF a have any so maybe any , so , maybe , in preparation for upcoming Trumpton Riots ??? Any ideas ??

    Didn't see you :-(
Watching near Ipswich so looks like helicopters had not joined yet.

Normally we get a great view but they seemed to form up a couple of miles east of the normal route, probably lining up sizewell and the Orwell Bridge as marker points. I should have stayed in my office which is near the bridge for a better view.

Shall enjoy watching it later in TV though

I'm in Chelmsford and the helicopters hadn't joined in by there either, still got a first class view of everything else though.

Mmm - not convinced, I can feel those stones on my buttocks just looking at it!

The "100" formation was pretty impressive flying (well, to someone with nothing but a 30 minute trial flying lesson to make a judgement upon!)

I lived near Greenwich for the past three years and saw them doing low altitude flyovers a number of times.

I'd imagine that in this instance it is indeed the US getting prepped for Trumps arrival.

Just been to see the fly past. Great to see so many aircraft (and people supporting)

Better pictures than mine, but we had a different angle, being upstream from Buckingham Palace and on the 18th Floor, so I’ll post them anyway.

I'm in London today but annoyingly haven't seen much! I'm in an office near Kings Cross and other than a pair of Chinooks, I didn't see any of the flypast aircraft. Disappointed!

I did see a Dakota over Coventry on Sunday on my trip to Costco.

The ones who turned north to Hendon flew over my office, couldn’t see the rest as well.

If you can really zoom in, the dot to the left of John Lewis is the helicopter over the palace - streaming bbc on my phone could just about work out what things were meant to be! At least you can’t miss the red arrows

I was in Trafalgar Square. Awesome, just awesome. I actually found it very moving, very emotional for a number of reasons. Thank you gentlemen.

Only a TV watcher here but immensely proud and so refreshing after some of the stuff coming out of the Palace of Westminster in the last couple of days that is a personal view and not looking to bring politics into this forum.

Great angle there. There must have been some really spectacular rooftop viewing positions , if you knew the right people.

You chose your pitch well in that case. It was a very busy lunchtime but great to see.

A colleague and I cheekily popped up to the South Bank from Vauxhall for a bit of lunch followed by viewing from the Millennium Bridge; I don't think you could have gone wrong viewing it from anywhere on the river between there and Waterloo Bridge.

Though I had hoped the aircraft would've been a tad noisier, rules & regulations I suppose. An awe inspiring spectacle nonetheless!
