i know I am in a very fortunate position owning some lovely watches but am looking to sell some to release funds .
So the question which I am struggling with is what would you sell ?
Thinking of just keeping 2/3 watches .
Patek 5712/1a . Unworn .
Patek 5167/1a . Unworn .
BLNR
Hulk
Deepsea Blue JC . Unworn .
My go to watch is normally the BNLR .

That is my dilemma as I am struggling to sell the pateks or one of them even though I haven’t worn them yet ?!
I guessed that members would say sell the unworn ones !
Sell everything you've never worn, sell all the cars you have never driven and all the food you've never eaten.
Any reason why you have not worn the Pateks?
If its because you cant bear to wear them due to ££££ then its pointless keeping them
If the BLNR is your daily then personally I would dump the Hulk and Deepsea
Given the premiums being discussed in the buying a PP thread, it might be worth checking out a few of the main dealers to see what their buying in price is.
Id dump the Cameron and the 5712.
If you're not using it why are you keeping it?
Short term you'll be paying insurance for them.
Longer term you will be incurring service costs for them.
Use them or lose them - my new motto :)

You should sell the Hulk or the Deep Sea - as they are both Divers, one of them is enough in the box. Or sell both, as you are sticking to your BLNR as daily Rolex, you are likely more into the elegant sporty watches.
The PP are harder to replace right now and with the prices skyrocketing, it would be harder (or at least more painful) to buy them again. And you should definetly start wearing them ;)
from that collection, i would keep the 5712 and sell the rest and force myself to only wear that.
Have you actually asked the next generation before considering selling their Pateks?
The Pateks don't seem to be doing anything else other than telling you you can afford them. But if you need to release funds, you can't, really. In this situation, only selling the watches you wear would be very bizarre.
All depends on how much money you need from the sale of these.
You know what they are worth, you do the math.
If you don’t need the money but are just worried about the amount tied up in watches then the PPs should go. Personally I would keep them and enjoy them in their unworn condition.

All depends on how much you want to raise. Personally I wouldn’t sell the Patek’s. You wear the GMT, so, probably worth keeping. The JC-DSSD does nothing special over the standard watch for me, and I prefer the older LV to the Hulk, so I’d likely sell them.

You're a lucky man, some very nice watches, but if I had your problem, I'd keep the Patek 5712/1a, but continue not wearing it, the BLNR, it's your favourite (and one of mine) and if you want to keep another, the deepsea.

I see quite a few have said you should keep the unworn watches.
I don’t see the point in owning watches that don’t get worn (or have never been worn at all in this case).
Start wearing the watches you don’t wear or move them on.
Given what the 5712 would sell for I would let that go as you aa I cannot see the appreciation continuing beyond where it has got to.
If you have to ask I'd say you do not own these watches for your own enjoyment..
Sell the 5712 and the JC. Start wearing the 5167 or sell that too.

Market for some of those pieces is hot.
Not sure how much of a premium you paid for the unworn ones.

Do not sell the patek’s, pass them on it’s a given for owning them.
I predicted they would hit 40k by the end of the year after the price rise, this has been already achieved so by the end of the year I bet nearer 45k + and some are POA the price is going up that fast.
Do not sell the Pateks.
I was looking at watches the other day wearing my 5711, the dealer spent more time looking at my watch than I did browsing.

Personally I think the 5712 is a hideous, hugely overrated watch with an unbalanced dial that looks like a piece of tat next to some of the newer Grand Seikos so I'd shift that in a heartbeat. I'd keep the Aquanaut as it's a lovely watch and very versatile. I'd keep the Hulk and lose the Cameron.
All IMHO btw.
