    Ingersoll Midget spares

Does anyone have a source for spares on an Ingersoll Midget pocket watch? I need a new balance shaft and can't find a supplier.

    Thanks

Cheers - anything that can get it back running would be great.

I don't have anything that looks quite like it but ofelten the finish is different for the same basic movement.
I can measure the staff and find one of very similar, if not of identical dimensions.

I have something similar with the old cone type staff, so if the length is measured post the size here and I will see if it is the same.

Can you measure your staff ?
I meant measure yours and I can look through my Ronda staffs.
It's not a coned end is it ?

Sorry - I didn't dismantle the watch. It was examined by a local watch maker. How much of a task is it to remove the bridge and the balance?

Can't measure the staff as it's still attached to the cock.
It has cone shaped ends, but this is a little different to the Ingersoll.

If it has cone ends it can't be broken can it ?
The female cones it fits into may have come loose and it has popped out from them.
5 min job long as the hairspring is ok.
Send it to me if you like. If not cones I may have one of the right dimensions.

So you should be. Not everyone would know it for what it was, and may have scrapped it for the case.
I look forward to a review of a rare and unusual piece coming our way in the future.

Based on the advice from the forum I checked the balance shaft and it does seem to be misplaced rather than broken. I've taken it back to my local repairer to see if he can reset it.

    Thanks for all who assisted.

That's good news. They do pop out if dropped or knocked hard.
Shouldn't be too difficult to put it back.
