Suppose it's worth checking your heart rate, stamina and performance when you're on the job.

Indeed. It’s also educational to monitor sleep patterns. Since I got the device I now know that I average 5 1/2 hours per night. As sleep is dead time I’d love to get that down to 4 hours.

Won't help if you're still in bed.

I never have or would wear a watch to bed but my missus does to remind me how long I lasted, swear her watch is running fast!

Almost always wear my SMP. Great lume, and if it can't hand the odd knock against the headboard then I don't see much point in owning it. I enjoy wearing my watches, not molly codling them.

Probably something NOT to mention if ever posting in SC😀😀

I go through phases- currently in a wearing in bed phase/ habit.

    Leave it on, of course.

Surely this is one of the advantages of hi-lume dive watches?

Very true. These highly specced professional dive watches should be put through their paces and used as intended:

Bright lume= tell the time under the bed covers.

Huge depth rating= wear in the shower.

Helium escape valve= wear in the swimming pool

Dive bezel= timing the boiled eggs on a Sunday morning😀😏

Same here, when traveling I like to have the watch on to check the time if I wake up at night. At home I have a bedside clock that I use for that.

Every night but never wake up with one on.
Tried different combinations but always take it off in my sleep.

Always off. Little routine to give it a quick clean all over and set it down in its preferred way to best keep accuracy and it's all ready to go again in the morning.

Always off for me. Feels more comfortable without a watch on when I sleep or not as the case may be.

    I have a bedtime watch

I have a composite Marathon Navigator with tritium tubes, on a maratac fabric strap, which I swap to at bedtime very night. Light as a feather, lume forever, and just bright enough to light the way to the en-suite loo when the inevitable 4am call of nature comes...

    Never.

Not a welcome appendage when ‘romancing the lady’

Socks are always removed too.... unless it’s the middle of winter!

If at home and not had a heavy night off.
If staying away one night in hotel etc on.
Or if leaving house at silly o clock for a trip I’ll leave it on to make sure I don’t forget one.

Always, never without one, although, sometimes I spend too much time deciding which watch I'm going to wear to bed for tomorrow. In the morning I might have a change of heart and wear another; you know what I mean.
P.S. & by the way, I don't personally suffer from some of the previous posters insights about 'wrists & bracelets' wearing overnight being sweaty etc....etc,...my wrists are squeaky clean wearing one! And all my watches are comfortable on the wrist, so therefore no different when I turn out the light & go to watchwonderland in my dreams.
If you love watches, as I do, you can't be without one on the wrist at all. It's a NEED.

Mostly I take them off, but sometimes I wear my Marathon Navigator because it's very lightweight and has tritium tubes.

If it’s waterproof then I hardly ever take them off, non waterproof sometimes off, depends if I remember to put it back on after showering.
Never worry about bashing it on anything whilst in bed, I’m fairly restless but I don’t flail about.

Always off unless I'm in a hotel the night before a return flight home when I think I will oversleep. This is despite the alarm set and the counter down timer set on my mobile (plus on wife's phone).

Off and leave it on the bedside unit. I have a luminous bedside alarm clock that I can read without my glasses on (purposely bought as such) so don't need to look at my wrist in the middle of the night.

Also remove watches when having a shower and when fertling around the kitchen sink.

Always wear one in bed , despite the Missus thinking it is silly to do so. However , she will often ask me , in the complete darkness, " what time is it ?" ......................

Exactly. And it's so much easier than reaching for your phone and knocking over your glass of water!

  47. #97
as a kid always left my watch on in bed - then I suppose as the watches got chunkier I left them on the bedside table and can never sleep with a watch on
