    Evant Decodiver

Just spotted this whilst scanning the Web, and think it looks great.

Missed the boat on the Tropic Diver, so thought I'd take a gamble and have just ordered the black dial from Gnomon.

Love the rough leather strap, and the crosses on the hour markers at 10 and 11. Is there a story behind those?

Erm yes, they don't exist! It's the reflection of the rehaut in the shiny markers.

    Yeah just reflections

They've obviously gone a bit 70's with it, but if the case execution is as good as the images I've seen on the Web, then happy days. EvantDecodiverBrownE_1024x1024.jpg

Not as big a fan of this as the tropic - it would have been better as 39mm as it looks really chunky.

WTF is going on with that crown guard? I'm not sure they could have come up with anything less elegant than that.

Wow, this is way cool. I do hope they'll have a bracelet option, in my eyes at least, these angular lug designs are just begging for a bracelet, such as the one on the Zenith Defy, or on the Breitling Jupiter Pilot if anyone still remembers those.

It's listed as 12mm thick, which will possibly be the thinnest diver I've owned

Yeah, know what you mean, but found these real life pics and don't think it's too bad. Has to stay angular to continue the theme of the case, but as the angles go in it shouldn't look too obvious... hopefully

IMO The crown guards look entirely in keeping with the case's sharp lines.

Nice dials they have. What movements do they use?

Reminds me very much of the Aevig Valkyr.

I'm also not keen on those crown guards.
