    Go on Ronaldo!!!

Not a Man Utd or Real fan but can't help but admire the player (tax issues aside lol)...
Laughing at De Gea's attempt to put him off...

Ronny was as cool as you like from the spot. Nerves of steel.

Someone that had played with both him and Messi once said that the difference between them is Ronaldo has to work his nuts off training every single day to be as good as he is, whereas Messi gets up and is naturally that good. With that in mind I’d always felt that Ronaldo lived a bit in Messi’s shadow and whatever he did just wouldn’t be good enough . . . . .

Well I think from circa 2009 to 2014 Ronaldo worked and worked and worked, always being 2nd but never giving up. He got his reward. The last 3 or 4 years have been Ronaldo in my book. He’s an incredible player and history may well judge him as good, if not better. I’d rather his career and lifestyle out of the two.

An absolute beast of a footballer but he just reminds me of the kid at school who just has to take all free kicks, penalties, throw ins etc.
I bet he was mightily peed off when Bale stole the limelight in the CL Final.

Yeah he sure does like the limelight. I think they all do to be honest. Ironic that the best player on the pitch in the final (IMO) went largely unnoticed as he did for the whole season, but was phenomenal throughout.

He was a better penalty taker.

Listened to Rio Ferdinand earlier saying how this guy was ahead of everyone else looking after their health and the fact he train's so hard given all his wealth just makes it better, just have to savour this Work Cup because after this there will be no Ronaldo, Messi or Iniesta at the next one...

De Gea having a mare against him tonight lol...

Love him or hate, you cannot ignore or not admire him for his ability.

The Costa goal was much better.

I do hope Portugal hang on and beat Spain, I absolutely detest the Spanish approach and attitude, they are the biggest cheats in World football.

Ronaldo is a far greater player than Messi or any other player that has ever played the game, Ronaldo can play any position on the pitch to international standard. Messi is very good in the limited positions he can play.

Amazing game, both teams third goals were fantastic, Nacho hit an unstoppable volley, then Ronaldo hits a world class freekick.

Still , no problem with Ronaldo, hence me terming him a football beast . I still don't think he's as good as Messi , but that's what opinions are all about.

Absolutely agree, that was a great match with two goals that could well be the goal of the tournament!

That was an amazing game of football - the quality of the play and goals was simply outstanding. I hope we have a few more games like that in the coming weeks.

    No doubting his talent

But he comes across as a petulant arrogant so & so. Then if I was that good at anything I might be the same.

Get back in your box you . 😂
Cant happen, because Razza will play out of his skin on Monday, not score and England will scrape a 1 or 2-0 win. Glenn Hoddle and all his sycophantic sheep followers will call for Gashford. Razza will only be called on to rescue the situation against Belgium when we are 3 down . Even I can't take them odds .
You are right though, Ronny isn't a patch on Razza.
Tell you what too, I'm getting the new City shirt with Mahrez on it and I bet you £50 he scores more than Steptoe 😂

I watched the 1st half before went to sleep... should have finished the game.

Spain did ok offensively but very poor in defense... This World Cup has been very good thus far

Great game, and great performances from big teams but clearly Ronaldo shows why he is made for the big stage.

I’d place the same bet Lee!!! You’re going to love him up there…. Honestly, he’s the finest player I’ve ever seen in a Leicester City shirt.…. With the talent he’ll around him, he’ll score and create bucket loads…. He has probably the finest first touch in world football (i am not saying he’s the worlds best player…)

    Gone up in my estimation

Just saw a video on faceache that he came back off the team coach to pose for pics and give a hug to a young lad who was in tears because he missed his hero. Even signed the kids shirt.

Lionel Messi the best player in the World my arse; he is coward who consistently lets his country down. More like Lionel Blair when it really matters. Just look at yesterday's and today's games.

Christiano Ronaldo raises his country up to a higher level, he always takes responsibility, he always delivers. He is the greatest footballer the World has ever seen, he is a relentless professional and can play any position on the pitch, a supreme player in the air.
