What do you keep your watches in?

I have searched the forum as I am sure there would be a post about this, but am struggling to find anything thats not related to travel.

I have Four watches at the moment and can see that only going up. Three of them are sitting on my desk at home when I am not wearing them and my rolex is in its green box.
Is there something I can keep them all on or in that looks nice and keeps them safe?

    Thanks
    Andy

Some have a safe, some a large watch box, some don't bother, some make themselves a custom storage box/table.

When you say looks nice do you want them on display, or not? If not, Peli cases are great and not too expensive.

I have two 12-slot leather-look display-top watch boxes as seen below...

They come with the quite structured white cushions that you can see in the top row in the bottom photograph, but I prefer the soft black pillows you can also see - I bought those in bulk on their own from some eBay seller in China.

All works well for me... the watches are visible but neatly stored and secure (i.e. they don't rattle around).

At one stage both boxes were full - I'm currently filling one only + one on my wrist.

On top of that I bought two small tool/gadget boxes from Homebase - one of those houses my tools and the other most of my spare straps.

In addition to all the above neatness and order I have boxes and papers for pretty much every watch I own, of course!

Plenty here. I have a 10/12 slot version.

If are lucky enough to have a valuable collection then a safe would be a better bet, and most likely required by your insurance.

If you scroll down that list you'll see mine - the H&S 12-slot box for £15.99.

The problem to me with having a really decent and visible safe is that it suggests to anyone who breaks in that it might be worth convincing you to open it to see what's inside...

It's a good point. Also, whilst I'm more than happy to discuss my storage arrangements and much as I love this forum, I would never discuss my security arrangements here...

I bought a safe to keep them in, then that got too full up so I started keeping them in my gun safe, then that got too crowded, so I bought a box for my cheap watches that's sits on top of the first safe and then that got full so I then started keeping them in my bed side draw and...
    You get the picture.

So a long story short you have to keep the waterproof ones in the garden now?

This is awesome, some excellent ideas here thank you.

I really like the idea of a wooden watch box.

I got a couple of watch boxes off amazon one being aluminium flight case style and the other faux leather.

The leather looks tatty after a couple of years so if you are looking for a cheap one a flight case with window would be the better idea.

Ziplock sleeves containing silica gel sachets or leather pouches or lined knife sheat

Individual ziplock wallets containing silica gel sachets inside neoprene sleeves or leather pouches or lined knife sheaths. Peli cases take up too much space.

This method is fine for many years of safe storage, but your eyes water every time you want to see what time it is.

I use an Invicta branded peli box. Really looks after the watches and you can usually find one on ebay for about £40. Not so good if you want to display them! If you're feeling really snobby there's also Rolex stickers on ebay ;)
