If you go- please post pics!!
I received an invite to a launch evening for the Basel 2018 Tudor collection - it contained the inevitable Beckham picture, but what really caught my eye was an 'introduction' to the relaunched Brough motorcycle brand.
At last, an interesting joint product partnership.
I'm curious to know if they will have one of the new Superior models in the showroom, or merely some blurb and posters
I plan to call up tomorrow and ask the question, a new Brough in the showroom would be worth the journey to Wilmslow !
Will be interesting to see (hear) the “bruff” vs “brow” pronunciation split at that ;)
Will Henry and Sam be there, I wonder.

BS had a great stand at the NEC this year. Stunning looking machines.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
The UK MD of Tudor, an old colleague of mine, is a total bike nut.
Well, that's different!
I like the look of so much of the bike, but that radiator looks totally out of place.

Ignorance breeds Fear. Fear breeds Hatred. Hatred breeds Ignorance. Break the chain.
I really hope the Brough Superior does make production.
Back in 2001/2 the world was waiting for the 1000cc V-Twin Aprilia Marlin but that sadly never made production

some similarities 16 years or so later with the proposed Brough Superior.....
Cheers

I've only ever hear "bruff" before today and, apparently, the French are leaning to say it that way for the English (I found another example in French where it was "bru"):
Prestons of WIlmslow have confirmed that there will be two Brough models in the showroom on Thursday 19th.
Bikes and beer - perfect !
Piece on the Brough Superior in the latest "Ride" magazine.

It’s bruff, my father worked for Brough Superior Engineering from the 1950’s until it was bought out and shut down, making everyone redundant in the 1980’s.
Most interesting was that George Brough lived near us at the time and he was great friends with the then Jaguar boss (the name escapes me). Every time a new Jag came out there’d be one delivered to George at the factory as a gift.
My dad said the best day was when 2 E-Types turning up, a tin top and soft top. Apparently George couldn’t decide with he preferred, so was told “why decide? Have both”
I saw the SS100 up close at the Chateau Impney Hillclimb today. It really is impressive with several real innovations and the detailing is a bit remincent of what the Dutch manufacturer Spyker used to do with lots of well finished castings and exotic materials. They are using a weird double wishbone front forks which may or may not be a good idea, seemingly a bespoke 88º V twin engine as a stressed member and some really far out Siamesed quad rotor front disks. These are apparently aircraft tech and use a total of 4 separate rotors gripped by 6 separate brake pads, a pair of regular outer pads per side and one double sided pad between the rotors which presumably float on carriers. This strikes me as a solution to a problem not existing with bike brakes at present and a road test I read said that the brakes were over sensitive and a bit grabby. It did a run up the hill and sounded pretty good but not too rorty.

The good lady and I spent a very pleasant evening in Wilmslow, enjoying the hospitality at Preston's Tudor / Brough evening.
The new SS 100 was beautifully detailed, the fit and finish superb - it uses the same duo-lever front suspension as my BMW k1200R :)
Two points worth noting :it retails at £60,000, and is designed and manufactured in Toulouse, no value added here in UK
However, for me the star of the evening is this original model SS 100, which has been restored and will race at Bonneville this year in an attempt to regain a class world speed record
A thoroughly enjoyable evening, and an excellent opportunity to get up close to a very special old girl :)
