Please Note: It is possible that Griswold may know nothing whatsoever about horology. It's even possible that he has never even owned a watch. It is also highly possible the he has a strange imagination. His wife insists he would be far better off paying more attention to taking his medication on time.

The human body is not a singular entity it's actually a ecosystem - which comprises Human DNA, as well as DNA from numerous virus, bacterial, etc which inhabited it.

Without some of these micro organisms you would die, however if you die some of the micro organisms may move to another host, meaning that actually part of you will live on after your death. Parts of you could be immortal

Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

Three of the first five US Presidents all died on Independence Day. In the cases of Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, it was the same day - July 4th 1826, which is the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence

Adams was said to have remarked on his death bed that, at least Jefferson was still alive, unaware that he'd died a couple of hours earlier and the telegram hadn't arrived yet.

The word "samba" means "to rub navels together."

The King James Bible was published in 1611; work had started on the translation in 1610 when William Shakespeare was 46 years old. The 46th word of Psalm 46 is 'shake' and the 46th word from the end of Psalm 46 is 'spear'.

In my copy "spear" is the 47th last word:

9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
There are 45 words before "shake" and 46 words after "spear".

I suppose if you knock off the last word "Selah" on the grounds we don't know exactly what it means* you can persuade it to work

*best guess atm seems to be that its an instruction to the performers

The maximum diameter of the solid rocket boosters on the Space Shuttle was indirectly constrained by the design of Roman Chariots 2000 years earlier.

That's the one. The SRBs were transported by rail from manufacturer to Kennedy Space centre. The rail route had tunnels that set the max diameter. Tunnel size was defined by rail gauge. Rail gauge by standard cart size etc right back to the Romans. I have actually seen the argument taken a little further resulting in SRB diameter being defined by the width of a horses backside!
