Try Gustavo by Mark Kozelek, ideally the Live at Biko version. A fascinating story song, although with a language warning if that bothers anyone...
There're are probably lots of great songs I've never listened to, because they never became mainstream and I'm not enough of a musicophile.
So how about sharing some of the 'music you love that most people have probably not heard about'?
Here're a few songs which qualify imo:
Iggy Pop & Goran Bregovic, In The Deathcar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Zv_lBLU5Vo
Django Reinhardt, Les Yeux Noirs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua-MWLJvGvM

Giorgio Conte, Gne Gne: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wd5r3mEK2A

Good grief I haven't heard that purple song in years... Radio One used to love it!
A mate of mine recently put me onto a country and blues singer named Paul Thorn who is well worth a listen - have a go at "guess I'll just stay married" for a bit of fun and "temporarily forever mine" for something more melancholy.
Very talented songwriter.
Who cares these are covers, there grrrreat...
A great song...
A great record...
I won't bore anyone with the several hundred others that will come to me over the next few days...
