you might think its a POS, but where else will you get a watch with a steel bracelet , 10 year battery and a little map of the world on it for 15 quid?

Fantastic value for money, but - as I always try to remind myself - only if you don't already have a cheap watch. I have at least half a dozen bought on the pretext of being a "holiday watch" so I managed to dissuade myself from buying one of these.

The ‘Casio Royale’ is lovely piece if you like a digital watch with plenty of features. Great price at under £15.

Look at the back side, there’s a hole. Just use something hard and small enough to push the pin out, it’s like a thin U shape that’ll come out (as long as the width of the bracelet nearly). Repeat for the one next to it to re-link the links.

Amazingly, that was relatively easy. Many thanks. I think not being too fussed about devaluing the watch helps!!

Mine arrived today and I'm very pleased with it, bigger than expected and perfect for work etc... thanks for the heads up.

Only trouble is, I was hammered when I saw the heads up late Friday after a night in the pub and spammed the amazon button and ordered twice! So an unexpected gift for my son.

Mine arrived today. Can't wait to get home and adjust the bracelet so I can wear it. It feels like a solid piece of kit for £14

Aww, Argos wouldn't sell me one because I don't have a relationship with them but they have put me on "the list".

A small flathead screw driver just behind the tiny knob at the arrow end and push down and out. Once the end is out I take the needle nose pliers and pull the remainder out. You need to do this on two links then unhook the centre piece from the thin metal bar, unhook the main link and repeat until you have the correct fit.

For reference, my wrist is 7" and I've left 3 links on the top side (12 o'clock) and two on the 6 o'clock side. Perfect fit

I was hoping to get one at my local Argos but it seems that due to the recent surge in sales only people that are prepared to pay £300 over RRP can be added to "the list"

I went to Argos but they wouldn’t sell me one. Don’t live close enough, you have to be a ‘local’ apparently.

I have established a good relationship with my local Argos store over the years and although they couldn’t offer a further discount, they did hold it for 7 days!

Thanks for the heads up David!

Just received mine from Amazon, sized and set it.

Great little knockabout watch for the money.

Apologies for the rubbish iPhone pic, but you get the idea!

OP - thanks for the heads-up!

Gordon Bennett, I've shortened a few watch bracelets in my time but this one has nearly killed me!

And I don't know who the watch was designed for but I need to take out twice as many links as I usually do.

That aside, it's quite a nice change to go back to my youth and have a digital watch.

When I went to collect mine, they were quite put out when I asked if they could make me a coffee while they resized the bracelet. Still, they left the stickers on!

Only after you have spent some considerable time removing (with great difficulty) a large number of links!!

I don't bother removing links anymore.

I just eat enough pie and chips until the watch fits.

Can't go wrong at this price.

Reminds me that I have wanted a Casio CA-90 for about 35-40 years. Anyone got one stashed away?

It’s not too bad actually, a small tip screwdriver ( gash one, not your best! ) to push the pin piece in the direction of the arrows on the underside of the bracelet, and a set of small pliers to pull the pin piece out when there is enough showing to grip onto. The Center links unhook from the neighbouring links but that’s easier seen than explained.
    Cheers..
