New one is lovely but I can see why the price is shooting up on pre ceramics..

The older one belongs to AD owner, but the colours are closer in real life than I expected!!

Congrats, it’s a stunner! Hope the supply keeps up and I get a call soon.

Very unscientific I know, but it seems like these new GMTs are coming through much faster then standard subs and GMTs. I wonder out thats true, and if so why...

It’s probably only that lots of people are announcing them on forums, whereas fewer people are announcing incomings of the more standard pieces.

Hope it's a good indication that the supply won't be as limited as with Daytonas :)

I keep prodding my AD but he claims to have had none in yet, something to do with the point at which they attended Baselworld; he was week two and thinks those that attended in week one are getting their allocations first.

Somehow I very much doubt that will be the case.

I think it will be better, I mean Daytona is THE exclusive model and has been for past 10-15 years. GMTs were always bit of side thing, then again they were never this hot.

Hot property, but also the market change has everyone chasing a few select, must-have pieces. The enthusiasts are being eclipsed by the profiteers & trend-following sheeple.

Congratulations, both look fantastic. Hopefully I can get lucky and be able to pick one up (at a reasonable price ! )

Congrats mate, looks good! How does it compare having worn the SD50 for a while now? Not too small?

    Good on you mate...

and I've yet to see one in the flesh but that bezel looks exactly the same as my old BLRO.

I think the colours and bracelet reflections make it seem quite big. Way lighter than the SD43 and a little lighter then the SD4k, but similar in dimensions.

Congratulations on nabbing one of the first.

Hope they do come thick and fast. Will be interesting to see how it pans out over the next few months.

I’m sure there will be much discussion on here but it would be nice to actually have a reasonable supply for such an in demand watch.

I wonder if they have tried to match the faded colours that you often see on old 16710s. Admittedly I only saw under the lights at my AD but the blue did seem to have a purpley tinge and the red wasn't that strong.

The comparison in the photo 33JS posted illustrates the point well.

The images on the official site make the colours look stronger.

Maybe the first release has got the colours slightly wrong. Imagine how much those would be worth if the colours were changed!!

I've developed a relationship with a fantastic independent AD over a few years. Bought numerous Rolexes and an AP from them and never flipped for a profit. Only request models that I really, really want. Bought some diamonds for my wife from them and when I got the call for the GMT I dropped in a premium box of choccies and a few bottles of red for the shop floor staff...
Also, it's a nice place to visit and chat about watches over a coffee.

I heard it is lighter due to the jubilee.

It uses the exact same bezel insert as the white gold GMT which has been out for years, so nothing new about the colour.

No secret, it's Laings. They've been great with me, but I've never been able to get anywhere near with the other indie who will have a lot of premium customers before me - and that's the game!

I went yesterday to place a “note of interest” with Laing’s in Glasgow. With a little bit of luck, in five to ten years time...

😱😱😱 how much!!! Stupid money, I hope it doesn’t sell, but I guess it’s all about demand and supply.
