Not sure if I have posted this one before but I do like it. Very clear and lasts through the night. Perfect camping watch.

Not quite in the same league as the watches in previous posts.

Hi Eddiex it is a Citizen Eco-Drive BM8180-03E which I have had about four years. When I was looking for a camping watch it needed to have three features: solar powered, good lume and reasonable water resistance. It was difficult to find something suitable as most eco-drives are over 40mm which is too big for me. This one fit the bill. I found it on ebay as I think they may have stopped making them.

It's pretty tough and light. I swim with it regularly and the WR is still up to scratch.

Thanks! Having checked it seems that Argos sell it or something similar. I use a CWC sapphire but when camping could do with a little more lume - this might do the job or maybe a Nite watch.

Yes, that is the one. The copy writer was obviously having a good day when they wrote the description. Not sure it oozes style but if you are after "alluringly luminous hands" it is the watch for you.

    Broadarrow (Zeno) PRS-3

Bought it on a whim, which led me to being interested in its origin, which ultimately introduced me to TZ-UK…

(still bothers me slightly that the hands are a different lume colour though, or am I getting this wrong?)

My Hamtun H2 Kraken glowing like a torch.
I picked this up 2nd last year and I was so taken with it?
That I moved on my Pelagos and the Kraken took its place in my rotation.
Now the Kraken is in no way as good a watch as the Tudor but?
It gets 95% there and if it had a decent clasp rather than the rattly mess the Kraken shipped with?
It would be hard to justify picking the Tudor 1st IMO.

The owner of Hamtun appears to have received £191k from Kickstarter and not delivered the watches almost 2 1/2 years later.

True dat. On the basis of the success of my Kraken H2 (also bought on KS) I recommended the H3 to a non-watchy friend who liked the orange dial. Rarely have I felt guilt like it. It's a great scam if he planned it all along - make models successfully to build a following then go missing when the big money flowed in. Personally I prefer to think better of people and assume that something awful happened to him that's taken him away from the project. Just going silent is woeful, though.
