    Top CEOs' watches

Really interesting article about the watches of a few top bosses. Least surprising is that Tim Cook wears an Apple watch. I'm a bit disappointed that the president of Toyota doesn't wear a seiko!

This is really interesting thanks. I'd expect someone high up in a Japanese company to wear something ultra-conservative, so I wasn't really surprised he's reported as wearing a PP Calatrava. I was more surprised by the number of Breitlings in there.

Also surprised at the abundance of Breitlings.
That PP Calatrava is a lovely classy looking thing.

Interesting to see two Chopard Mille Miglia in the list, a rare bird indeed.

I do like the one on the rubber strap.

For me the stand out pieces are the Ulysse Nardin and thr AP Royal Oak.
I was somewhat surprised to not see any very high end watches, but then again none of them are film stars or footballers or rappers.

Surprised to see Breitling having such a strong showing. The JLC and PP smash it out the park, as you would expect.

Edit: seems a bit of a mystery apart from his own (very gold) brand: https://www.timepiecechronicle.com/f...f-donald-trump

Yes, my clear favourite of the lot. And like others I was surprised at the Breitling ratio.

The JLC was lovely but surprised how much I liked the Chopard Mille Chrono. Best bought 2nd hand though as they do take a beating on the depreciation

    Interesting article, thanks OP.
My favourites are the Chopard Millie Miglia and the Breitling Colt

Interesting read thanks for sharing. Some Lovely pieces. But it goes to show money doesn’t always breed good taste.

I can't see the article, but I assume that many of the watches mentioned in this thread won't be personally purchased: they'll be corporate gifts, albeit of a very nice standard.

I wonder if any of these CEOs have large collections. I know Alan Sugar has a fair few Rolex watches.

I think people need to realise that Rolex is a bit passe nowadays (watch any of the reality shows and everyone has or wants one), perhaps Breitling is considered a bit left field and individual in C level circles.

PS or maybe they got a discount :)

I was surprised by some of the inelegance; it would be interesting to see how a more European list would compare.

I could be wrong, but some of these have been misrepresented or even downright wrong.

Jeffrey Immelt is wearing a Breitling Chronospace M78365, the quartz model in pvd, so why show a picture of an automatic chrono?

Akio Toyoda is not wearing a Patek Philippe Calatrava 5119G. This model has Roman numerals and is steel, Toyoda is wearing a gold watch with Arabic numerals.

Dara Khosrowshahi is said to be wearing a Chopard Mille Miglia 16/8997, a sort of sport style 3 hander, yet the watch he is wearing has round chronograph pushers.

There are a couple of other misrepresentations like colour etc, have fun spotting them.

Just seems like a nice, big, fat advert for Crown & Caliber used watches to me.
    Or am I just jaded?
