    Lens question

I have just picked up a new camera body and I was thinking of getting a Rokinon Reflex 300mm catadioptric lens to play with .
Cheap second hand but reviews are rather mixed .
Anyone any experience with this lens ?
I know it is a bit old school .

    Lens question

Never tried one - but you certainly get a long lens in a smallish package at a low price. Im not sure I could live with a fixed aperture (I think its f6.3 with the Rokinon / Samyang).
Id love to know how you get on.

F/6.3 my main concern would be overly bright pictures here .
As it was only about 100 I have decided to give it a go .
Paired with a Nikon D300 with only 800 exposures for under 200 it will be a bit of a bargain price set up .

I was playing with the Nikon 70-300 f2.8 that belonged to a friend today and it is such a monster to lug around.

If You can pick up the lens for a very cheap price then why not?

Otherwise, it depends on what You what You want to do with it.

I am a Street Photographer and have found very good Street Photography Lenses in the range of 28mm to 50mm.

For me prime lenses work the best and if You are traveling and want to photograph the city, the same lenses might work for You.

Thanks for the reply , my current lenses are Nikon 16-35, 50 f/1.4 and a 105 f/2.8 Micro that I use at work .
Was looking for something with longer reach .

100 s/h is very expensive for the lens too expensive.
