Pizza & kids - perfect combination.

I have a whole fanclub around the neighbourhood, I know at least two of them would leave their parents if I would promise them a lifetime supply of pizza.

Ralf, what are the sizes of those pizzas? Cannot work out if HUGE crusts, or slightly smaller pizza.

Fiocco with the cream seems intriguing to me, think I would need to order one first to know what it is meant to be like.

    Looks amazing as always!

They are about 30cm, a proper mouthful.

Fiocco* is just wonderful, couldn't imagine how potatoes on pizza taste until I tried. I have introduced it to a number of people, and they all say that it's one of the best pizzs they ever had. Cannot but agree.

    * Should add that a close forum friend said yesterday that it looked like cat vomit. Suppose we all love different things.

Cheers. My wife was struggling with the cream, potatoes blew her mind! Agree it does seem weird, but will certainly try it.

Clearly my dough game needs to be increased.

Tried this in Rome, and it's mouth-watering. Haven't done it myself; yet

Lovely chatting to you too Paul. You convinced me in about 25 seconds - and if that had failed, your 1 min 50 seconds video of one cooking would convince anyone :-)

We'll grab a week away this yr at some point so I fancied the idea of pizza on a bbq on the beach. I wondered if this might work.
We have a small rectangular bbq with a lid which we often take to the beach. I imagine with some hardwood bits and charcoal I could get the bbq hot enough.
I thought about using 2 or 3 basic quarry tiles as the stone, not too heavy to carry and they can be seasoned easily first.
Small dough balls and usual toppings and it should be great.
    Anyone tried it?

Weather isn't great out there so back to the pan & oven grill method at home, wood fire is going to have to wait for now...

    Results are better than expected.

Thanks, the rise on this one was particularly impressive.

It went in just before the oven has reached max temperature with the grill elements still running at full power so was possibly close to mimicking the electric pizza oven.

Wow, this is the sort of stuff I did at uni studying food technology.

Not been in that field for 25 years now, so more rusty than a rusty thing.

My 2nd time with the EffeUno tonight after chipping up from an uuni. Wow perfect rise, perfect crust and perfect pizza. For an electric oven you wouldn’t really notice any difference.

The very limited set of instructions said to set the temp at 325 but it took a while to cook so I set tonight’s at 400 and it was quite a bit quicker.

Will take some pictures next time, have to say though very impressed indeed!

The sun is shining, the DoJoe has been dug out the garage and the dough balls prepped. It feels like a pizza day

    Oof just noticed this:

Wife’s birthday last weekend and having a small do for her this weekend with a few of her work mates. Just taken delivery of my mates latest oven for testing.
It’s about 3 times the size of the No:1 and is designed to be multi fuelled
Can’t wait to get her fired up

Not up to the standard of Pitch or Raffe’s pizzas and crust especially but they are improving all the time with the effeuno. Mozzarella, ricotta, onion and pepperoni in this one. Also did a nice one with salami, chilli flakes and a sprinkling of honey which was delicious.

Looks yum! I wouldn’t get too bogged down trying for the perfect shape or crust, they taste just as good a bit wonky!

I highly recommend it. Fantastic piece of kit and so easy to use. I imagine we’ll use this far more than any other type of pizza oven (indoors or out) so it will be excellent value for money in the long run.

Honestly buddy the EffeUno is amazing. It takes the wood fired art away and managing a fire which is nice when knocking a load out.

Had a lovely chat with Dev on the blower and he was sold.

You can see no pizzas here, as after many weeks off, I lost all my ability.

May as well have launched like a frisbee into the oven. Made the centre too thin, so bubbles, split, cheese mess.

Crusts were the best ever (perhaps as no dough in the centre!), and first time using fresh yeast, seemed to be more bubbly than dry.

    Want to try again soon.
