It must look good, my wife thinks it is really smart. She is not easily impressed and normally shrugs and gives watches a 'meh'.

I’ve always said these two are going to be the sarb 035/033 of the mil watch world. It’s hard to choose or get both !

    Heck yes!

I've become a fussy so-and-so since I started frequenting tz-uk. I'm not finding much to dislike about this beauty though. Excellent work!

I played around with the lighting and took another shot. Not a lot of difference but I like it better.

Is it possible to confirm the date that these can be ordered Eddie

The 9th or the 16th - or will it be later on?

    EDIT:

Oops - should have checked the website!

I see that it is confirmed as being the 16th.

Will make a note a my diary!

If you go to the site, choose any watch that is in stock and add it to your basket you get an automated messsage saying that the shop is closed and will reopen on the 16th when the new PRS29 will be available.

Stunning! These are gonna sell like hotcakes. One will be mine, if not this batch then the next but it definitely belongs in my collection.

    Congrats Eddie.

Chemically blued. Heat treated addes significantly to the cost because of the high reject rate due to uneven colouring. You can reduce the reject rate by doing them in small batches but that increases cost through increased production time.

Have you worked out a price yet chief?

    If you need to ask...

I think it’s easy to estimate the potential price range by looking at many of the other time factor watches. I anticipate a good guesstimate based on these other prices to fall within £100.

Isn’t that a picture of perfection? So good to see the 29a back alongside the newcomer

The font of the 29a looks very different from what I remember of the original smiths w10/29a.

Perfect example of form following function

I'll be getting the 'a' immediately but they are both exactly what I had hoped. Congratulations Eddie.

    Very nice.
I am sensing a slight change in the hand dimensions (minute especially) on the a, but it looks great.
There is a definite case for owning both

The 29a is awesome. The hands look more the exact size of the original W10. And as has been pointed the font has changed- the '4' definitely stands out. Can someone remind me of the strap size? Can't remember if it was 20 or 18? Thanks

    Prs-29a out of stock.

I noticed also as mentioned above the font looked a little differently the ‘4’ . Personally I don’t care a jot- it looks fantastic.

Interesting to see ‘851/18’ on the back of the new A... that would suggest about 850 29A1s made?
