Oh those look great. I like both.

Are they thicker than the last model?

Agree with this. Three face looks the complete package. Another winner!

I thought the two sub-dial one would be for me but the three takes it after seeing these photos.
There’s too much empty space in the lower half of the face on the two sub-dial version to me.

I think the twin dial would look better with an extended marker, like at the 12 position to fill the gap.

Yep Eddie, still highest on my list and glad I didn't "pull the trigger" on an earlier model.

The three counter version looks finger licking good!

Quick snap of the prototype, didn't have time to set the light tent and lights up.

Thats not bad at all. Do you know the length of the upper surface, before the downward slope begins?

Despite having 3 sub-dials the watch looks uncluttered and legible.

Think that's the one for me. Was going to get the automatic then liked the bicompax better but this one works very well.

Will all 3 versions be relesed at the same time? Thinking more about the auto version now.

The auto version will be available in April, the chrono versions haven't got the green light yet.

Does the NE15 movement fit the original quartz PRS-40 case?

Love the chronos - can't decide between 2 or 3 dials though.

Looking good. Didn't notice from the plans that it would have a white second hand. Nice touch.

There are no velcro straps, the manufacturer has discontinued it.

I'd go with an RAF pattern NATO (i.e. one without the extra strip) or a perlon.

You can buy 22mm Eulit Perlons if you look around. Also wears well on a circumcises TF grey Nato if you want to keep it is low profile as possible.

I have a 6.75" wrist and it didnt look too big at all. The profile of the slim case kind of wraps around your wrist. A conventional NATO makes it wear bigger.

Im looking forward to the quartz chrono - so long as the case isnt too thick!

If you take this option (which I do for comfort reasons) then you need to be extra careful taking the watch off as it will slide off the strap easily. I've dropped mine countless times! It's not such a problem with the quartz version, but I'd be more worried with a mechanical version.

Yes, this happened to me a number of times when I had mine on Perlon - the reason I went back to the TF Nato.

Perhaps a caseback protector or even some double side tape on the back would prevent this (might the adhesive on the latter attack the SS over time?).

And now I have! Really enjoying it. Bulkier on my relatively slim wrist than the quartz but I'm used to it now and the smooth sweep of the white second hand suits the dial better than the black ticker on the quartz one, IMO anyway.

I think the dots on the hour markers are smaller on the auto, as well? Perhaps the hands are a little slimmer? I might be imagining that but I find the dial a bit more aesthetically pleasing on the new one, somehow.

Mine's gained less than a second since it arrived on Thursday, very happy with that.

Fabulous work with the Vanguard Eddie!

Reading the e-mail I couldn't see the PRS40 chrono in between the coming launches, is this one delayed or not in the pipeline anymore?

    Waiting Patiently

Here I am patiently waiting for the shop to open to finally get my hands on a PRS40 automatic, and I stumble across the chrono ...

I think I need to have both.

    :o)
