Thanks, apologies if this is a daft question but don’t you know if they are a decent length? I have 7 3/4 wrists and lots of standard size straps don’t fit particularly well.

To be fair they are not that big
I have fairly thin wrists-about 7" and there were another 2 smaller holes available and I'm often in the shortest or 2nd shortest hole.
It might fit but be right on the last slot.

Taken from the Pheonix nato page

The MOD straps tend to be slightly longer than the standard NATO straps allowing you to get the traditional "tucked back under" look that has become the norm with this type of watch strap.

The straps generally come in with the following dimensions:

    - 288mm length
    - 22mm between buckle and first keeper
    - 68mm between 1st and 2nd keeper
    - Stainless steel buckles and clasp.
    - Available in sizes: 18mm, 20mm & 22mm
    - Machine washable

Thank you Sir, a good chance to check out their own branded NATO's as they have some good colours. Shame no 22mm grey Phoenix though!

I too will be interested in this update.
Wrist size is almost 8.5 inches. Straps usually fit ok, but on one of the last holes.
I am keen to order a sailcloth for my new Dornbluth 99.2.

Sailcloth strap has just arrived. So as requested Craizeehair:

    Buckle side:
80mm long to the buckle (70mm fabric only)

    Other side:
88mm long to the largest hole (110mm fabric)

Appears to be nicely put together. Now to try it on the watch

Thank you... that sounds as though it could be tight? Proof will be when it goes on :)

    Forgot to ask......
Whilst browsing the 'Friday the Fourth' threads selection of lovely watches yesterday. I spotted that a Gentleman was using an IWC style deployment from Watch Obsession, that looked pretty good.
So I may well order one for this strap.

Has anybody any recommendations of alternative suppliers of reasonably priced deployments, before I place my order?
Also, I would rather not cut the strap if possible. Do I need a particular type of deployment to fit a standard strap in place of the buckle?

I tried a omega on a deployment recently that appeared to adjust quite easily on a standard strap. This is the sort of thing I am after, if possibly.

Any advice would be very helpful. If anyone can tear themselves away from the overdue good weekend weather for a few seconds.

You could try timefactors for deployent straps.

Hi, the watch obsession deployment is the only after market one I have tried, pics below. Hopefully this may help with your question, it is pretty easy to adjust etc... and I think it should be ok with standard straps but I’ve only tried it on this one?

Now I have to go catch up on 2 weeks worth of lawn cutting and gardening... the wife is over my shoulder as we speak!

Thank you both for the suggestions and photos. Will help me make my choice.

Strap is now on the watch, and it fits. Just.I'm on the last hole as usual.
I have double checked and my wrist size is about 8.5 inches.
Final relevant variable is that the watch is 49mm lug to lug.

I will try to post a photo later.
Might be quite a bit later though. As I have not done so on here before and if others struggle I have little chance of success.

PS. Craizeehair, whilst you are welcome to inform your wife that my 6 month pregnant wife had finished all of the grass cutting before I even made it out of bed this morning (true story). I can not be held responsible for her reaction to the sharing of this fact.

This made me laugh... I showed my wife and she said that was me with my first Mrs C... probably why I had to find a second one!

How times have changed, I have mowed the lawn, put the new bedding plants in the border planted the camellia and jet washed the patio...

Mind you, the next watch purchase has now been agreed as a result... in principle :)

    Good work!

It's just a big old game of give and take at the end of the day.
Sounds like you are applying your experience and winning.
    Good times indeed.

Winning could be pushing it... hopefully a close second though!

I hope she didn’t forget to edge the lawn ;)

    20% off at monkey swag

I have just received one of MonkeySwags sailcloth straps. And it doesn’t look exactly like the ones in your photos.

It’s definitely thinner, and the buckle holes are wider.

Is this even genuine sailcloth material?

A little disappointed with the price I paid that’s all.

    What are other owner’s thoughts?
