    Another question for the sparks

Hi is tape up to current regs wrapped round connector block for ceiling lights (Scotland) if it makes a difference, reason for asking I got a assisted bathroom adaptation from the local social work for wetroom, electrician came and took the old 12v transformers and lights away and fitted new gu10 fittings but just joined these onto the old t&e cables with a connector block wrapped in tape ?
    Thanks

Sounds like a bodge to me - I know the tape will hold out and be ok for many years but they really should have used some, IP68 at least, rated connector blocks. (may be overkill but hey)

I would have used a joint box
