    Just seen it.

I grew up with this guy as a winner.

Like Ray Wilkins, too young in this day and age.

Blimey that's a bit of a shocker, but I suppose the booze and fags take its toll as Jocky Wilson found out.

Great player who really put Darts on the map.

Very sad day, great crowd response during premier league tonight, I grew up watching him and John Lowe

No bull from Brissie, he always spoke his mind. Knew him years ago when he was with Maureen and had the Crafty Cockney Club. Always had the same confident personality, on and off the dartboard. R.I.P mate.

Hated him with a passion back in the day, but lets face it he helped put darts on the big stage

I think a lot did. Seem to remember you were either an Eric Bristow or John Lowe man. I was for John Lowe as he was a playing partner of my uncle at county level.

Eric was one of the greats.

Top man Eric and made darts what it is today - superb talent and showman too.

    Gone way too soon...

Same age as me, hopefully I have looked after myself a little better? Eric did hammer his body. The match against Deller in 83 was the best darts match I've ever seen. RIP CC

Instantly recognisable even after all those years. Went out on a 60 though, a little too soon. RIP Eric.
