I must have missed that episode but tell me Stephen Hawking was the one answering the questions, not the one chucking the darts...

A sad day, Jim Bowen was such a great entertainer back in a more innocent time.

Don't fret, Professor Hawkins was the one driving the speedboat ;-)

    RIP Jim Bowen

Wow what a trio of loss . I’ve actually met Jim Bowen in my teens on the QE2 in my late uncles cabin . He was great . Dressed like it was 1975 , dapper as anything - loads of posh signet rings I always noticed his watch and jewellery

Jim: "And what do you do for a living?"

Contestant: "I've been unemployed for six months."

    Jim: "Lovely, smashing".

Listened to him at a pub at the top of the road many years ago. It was a sell out. He drove there in a Jaguar with the reg J80WEN , I notice it still on a Merc, maybe he kept it.

It wouldn't be allowed today as it featured a "bully" and I am sure someone would be offended.

He was a very accomplished stand up
    comedian too, very funny.

Bullseye reminds me of simpler times.

Confirms what I always thought - a really nice, genuine guy. Thanks for the memories, Jim
