They won’t be going anywhere at that price.
Just wandering through the Argyll Arcade in Glasgow this afternoon and spotted that James Porter have a brand new Seiko MM300 in the window, first one I've seen in a bricks and mortar shop in the UK. Priced at £2,250, apparently they have two in stock.

Don't want to change the direction of this thread but I'm always surprised at the window prices in the Argyle arcade. There seems to be very little competitive pressure between that cluster of jewelers and I think its unlikely that there are many people make spur of the moment purchases there. Its a fantastic looking place but doesn't seem to be high on value.
Yep, you could fit everyone who's ever had a bargain there in a telephone box.

Whilst that does sound expensive (compared to importing one) what actually is the UK RRP on one of these?
I believe they are available in the Seiko boutique in London but for more than that?
As I've never been I may of just made that up :-)
It’s like any other group of retailers, if you ask you will often get. I bought a Bremont new and got 25% off, also got a decent discount of a Grand Seiko.
They don’t tend to discount in the window, but they will negotiate

Used to 3 grand in the boutique but last month they lowered them to 2200

It depends. Laings had a Zenith sale last year with 40% off. The previous year they had a B&R sale to the same tune of discounts. But those are the exception to the rule.
And their used prices are even worse.
