Panerai strap help... where can i buy this?

I was trawling google images and spotted this 687 on a strap I really like the look of. I kept the photo but don't know where to find the strap. It's pretty chunky and looks aged, I think it suits the watch well. Any Pam fans know where I can look to buy?

There are some good strapmakers out there who make straps similar to this one. I would recommend to have a look at corrgias straps: http://corrigia.com

Ceng is one of the good guys, putting much love and quality into his works.

You can send him a picture of what you are looking for and he will help you in finding the right one.

Great link, some superb straps in there. Cheers!! I'll drop him the image and see if he can get close.

Dread to think how many ‘ammo’ straps I’ve been through looking for the perfect shade of brown or level of distressing. I’ve a couple from lederarts.ch that I really like.

Thanks, yep I've emailed the guy so let's see what he comes back with. Given I'm keeping my 687 I may as well dress it up (or is this dressing it down) but either way I agree, think it looks great. I just hope it's not $400!

Some great pointers there, and names I hadn't heard of before, cheers for that.

Question though - sewn in buckle or not? I can see the downsides of sewn in, in that you can't change it if you fancy something fresh or it gets scratched, but what are the benefits of a sewn in buckle?? It'll be an expensive strap so I don't want to make a mistake I'll regret.

I've just today received a Vintager strap (absolutely fantastic quality) and i went for no buckle. I think if i were to do it again getting a strap from Micah or Rich or any of the others mentioned above i would go for the sewn in, just makes life a little bit easier. I think if it gets some "patina" on it what does it matter just ages the buckle along with the strap. Could be wrong but think back in the day the buckles may have been sewn in? not 100% sure though, someone with more info than me can advise.

If your wanting your strap to be in keeping with the vintage look then sewn in is the way to go.

I can recommend Mays Berlin. https://www.mays-berlin.com They beat easily any other Brand. I am for a long time a Panerai fan and try a lot different Strap Brands. He is the best.
