    Alphabet coins

Not normally interested in coins but these took my fancy so just paid £52 for 26 10 pence pieces. Probably not the wisest investment ever but they will occupy a nice space on the wall in the downstairs toilet when they are framed

    Anyone else 'invested'?

Stick with it it. Worth a punt for not a massive outlay. Keep mint and FDC condition (do not take out of packaging).

Three questions, is theroyalmint.com a genuine website, where can you reliably purchase a set of these and is theroyalmint.com website really selling 10p coins for £35 each?

The £35 ones are the sterling silver proofs. The regular uncirculated coins are £2 each so £52 for the complete collection. I like the idea of trying to collect them from ‘the wild’ :-).

Arrived this morning, individually packaged so the kids have put them all in the presentation case.

So when they are in the presentation case are they still in an individual wrapping or did you have to totally unwrap them to mount ?
    Thanks

Totally unwrapped and then mounted. The packaging was only those little Jiffy bags. TBH I may not keep them in the cardboard mount provided, instead I may mount them on a red or blue baize type thing

Another THREAD RESURRECTION here boys and girls.

I'm curious, has anyone here found a full set of these 10p coins in the wild?

I am a change-checker and over the past couple of years I have found a grand total of... two! R and T.
What gives? The 50p coins were everywhere, I even had a couple of the Kew Gardens one.

I found one a while ago, never heard of them before, can’t remember which one it was, I’ll check when I get home.
    Cheers..
