It's off to the Antarctic in early Dec courtesy of John who apparently runs marathons in sub-zero temperatures for fun.

We've got a window of about a month then to squeeze in another adventure. Any takers?

    Cheers

So, I am now in possession of the watch and it will be joining me on the Aurora trip on Saturday. I will try and get the Sqn
Leader of the Red Arrows to wear it too.

    Right,
Finally got around to updating the website tonight. The watch is now back with me and in view of what is going on, shall be for the foreseeable!
Really enjoying having it at the moment. Though far from battered, it's picking up a few battle scars that are helping to tell it's story, (there is a mark on the bezel insert that happened whilst it was attempting the summit of Everest for example!)

It has now covered an impressive 142,087 miles, over five and a half times around the globe.

We still have a couple of things to tick off the list, (I WILL get it to the top of Everest), along with some very willing members here you would still like to join in. I feel it'll run into 2021 definitely and then we'll see.

What I'm after now, is help to grow the social media presence.
Rather than type all this twice, here is a link to the other thread:

Long story short, looking for help to grow the online presence of the project.

Happy to take it out on Sydney Harbour if someone can get it here. Possibly could take it skiing in the Snowy Mountains in August, too.

    Update and bump

Been a quiet year for the watch - as expected.

However, I'm still keen to get a few more miles / experiences under its belt before it goes under the hammer.
My brother in law has just got back from the Olympics so we can tick Japan off the list. I'd still like to get it to Oz, Russia, Canada and any far flung places it can. And still desperate to get it to the top of Everest. It was ssssooooo close a couple of years ago.

So please, if you can help this project get back on its feet after Covid, get in touch!

    Evening all,
    a bump for this.
I'm having an absolute nightmare logging on to the forum at the moment - I can only seem to do it from one computer (which is not my everyday one!)
But the watch is still here with me and awaiting it's next intrepid adventure.
So, if you've got anything planned, please do get in touch. I'd still dearly love to see it top Everest. I'd also like it to get across to Australia and Russia (although I realise that may not be a wise move at the moment).

But anything else anyone has planned to add to it's story, let me know!

I'll keep a check on my PM's every few days so don't be shy!

    Dave

Sorry for the sparse updates with this.

It's taken some doing but the watch is currently in transit to the Ukraine thanks to a very kind member on here.
More to follow as I get it.
