I’ve heard of many people buying and selling on instagram, but how exactly do you do it on there.
Is it just a case of uploading your pictures and putting a description on? Do I need a selling app for it? Or am I missing something?

You just upload pics...though unless you have lots of followers nobody will see your ad...you can hashtag of course but the 'algorithm' will decide who sees what. Some do ok, I think a couple of members here use it, though in conjunction with a website. I use it as an advertising / marketing tool, and get most of my business via Instagram but it's hard work getting seen...paying is really the only way.
My wife used to sell clothes through Instagram, but as per above she only gained traction after getting 1000+ connections. With watches I imagine it would be alot more difficult due to worry over fakes, lack of protections etc.
