Hope you’re well and taking care of the PanoInverse, Scott!

Don’t you already own most of those in some form or another anyway?

Or is that part of your “must have at least two of everything” plan...?!!

    All the best,

    Paul

  3. #253
    Cheers Paul!

Yes the Pano is well, and I took it when we visited Glashutte. No blue screws in it though lol. Thankfully they suggested it might be genuine, even without the GO own designated colour of blued screws, for the Inverse model.

I’m on a world watch domination plan - although funds don’t allow for my appetite.

I’d possibly live without the AP in PVD, but it’s different enough to the rest and has a place - as in an ideal collection I’d add a 15202 too.

I think I need to sell off some duplicates of cheaper watches, so I can add some of those amazing watches though

Glad to hear they gave the Inverse the thumbs up, especially given it had been to them for a service under the custodianship of another member on here prior to my ownership!

I know what you mean about funds not allowing for the appetite. I’ve got a taste for platinum after picking up the Datograph and really fancy adding a 5170P but I’d certainly have to sell a few to get there!

As much as I like the 15202, I feel like it would be too similar in colour to the 3712 and I’d always take the Nautilus over it, which is why the PVD 5402 works for me. I have briefly considered investigating the possibility of having the PVD removed but I have no idea what condition it would be like underneath so that would take a serious brave pill...!

Thought I’d give this a try, not up to the standard of many collections here but I’m happy at the moment, maybe just missing a Panerai....

Great collection, with two of my favourites in the Monaco Calibre 11, and the Bronze B&R diver. The B&R looks fantastic, and the more I see it, the more I want one!

Thanks Dave. I have to say I’m very impressed with the B&R, I’m glad I got this one as I don’t like the new one with the green bezel as much, even though green does go very well with the bronze. I think you have to take the plunge and just get one, the blue one is really nice too!

I do like those four. The PO was my first serious auto, I was looking at that, the Monaco and a Superocean Heritage 46. All advice I received said “Go with the in-house movement!” and I did, despite leaning towards the Monaco. That was 2015 and it’s taken me until a few weeks ago to get a Monaco despite its appeal. I’m glad though as I may never have bought the PO had I gone for the TAG in 2015 and I’ve come to love it.

The Black Ceramic is calling, practically scratch-proof, as long as it isn’t dropped! When I first saw the diver version of the BR03 I shook my head with disbelief, but I’ve grown to admire its design brilliance

Ah yes, very nice! The black ceramic is lovely and the scratch resistance is always appealing, especially when I look at the bracelets on my steel watches! It reminds me of a Steinhart Aviation I used to have (unsurprisingly I suppose), I think I have a slightly blurry picture somewhere....

BLNR is a weird one. Have one, like it, certainly don't think they're worth what they're going for and so tempted to cash in but don't want to be in the same situation if I change my mind and can't get another!

If I didn’t have the BLRO, I’d definitely keep mine, but as it is it can go, and I can put something else in its place..

Sorry for the late reply, it’s a Recraft SNKM97.

The dial is lovely as you can see but there’s no lume anywhere, so it’s no use in the dead of night but any other time, if you have even the slightest light, the markers and the hands are so shiny that you can see the time.

There’s a really nice blue dial as well, in a square case, that I nearly got instead but the green edged it for me. I’ll probably pick the blue up too at some point as they’re comfortably under £150.

All bar the G, in order of acquisition from top left to bottom right, and the middle bottom two being found clearing out my grandpa’s after he passed away. They need a service!

I feel like the Aqua Terra is most at risk simply for feeling too thick, which is daft as it’s the most accurate, highest WR and a wonderful dial in the light. Maybe trying it on a bracelet would help.

Currently pondering an older datejust - esp if on a jubilee which I could use on the Pepsi. Also like the idea of a bit of gold (though a vintage gold omega didn’t stay).

Or maybe chop the navitimer and AT and try to stretch to something higher end.

    A very Diver heavy collection!

The Deepsea is off to pastures new Tomorrow and the SD50 is new to me. I think I am going to sell or trade the Blancpain too in the next few weeks but everytime I look at it I wonder why I would let it go! The finishing on the watch is just fantastic.

Here are mine, the Speedmaster was finally added today. I bought the Planet Ocean about two years ago instead of the speedie because I felt it would be a lot more durable and practical. I still think the same, but have been obsessed with the speedie ever since, so thought I better get on with it and buy one!

    I think I need a cull.
Oris, Hulk, Zenith & Speedy are keepers.
Probably the GMT II too - as I like a GMT complication & can’t think of a better option...
...& the modded solar Tuna - as my ideal holiday watch.

That leaves Chronoswiss, Tudor, Pinion, GS.
All under the radar, bought to add variety - chrono, something blue, something bronze, something quartz.

I often think of flipping these 4 in for 1.
...but then I wear one & really like it.
    Ho hum. First world problems.

Yeah I find I’d get something to add a bit of difference to the collection but barely wear it, so am pro cull atm. Though depending on what you’re flipping for, the GS does tick a few boxes the others don’t (just to completely undermine my first sentence!).

Interested both zenith and speedy are safe. I am having a speedy vs navitimer debate, maybe I should just give in and keep both.

Here is my core collection. I also have a G-Shock and SKX but these are my fine tickers.. The SMP is new, replacing a Pelagos LHD which was just too bulky. I seem to have landed on 38-41 and relatively slim as my sweet spot. I'm still waiting for the right speedy one day.

I am going to try very hard to be content with these three for a while... The DJ has been a game changer for me. Something blue-ish might come into play at some point but I’m stumped at the moment.

That datejust is lovely. Very understated. Brushed centre links and it would be perfect.
