My first thought when seeing this photo... you know in Monopoly when you have a bunch of houses and are praying not to draw the "pay a fee per house" card from the community deck? That must be how you feel when it comes to servicing

    Nice collection!

Thank you. It took sometime to put together but I am quite content with it now... a couple of recent additions have made it complete I think!

You are correct. As a pair they do look a bit similar and ‘butch.’ Something elegant could find a home.

Curious Tony, how many are still about? How many new ones?

Yesterday was a sad one for me, as in the face of spiralling house refurb costs I accepted an offer for my Nautilus that was too good to turn down. I thought I'd mark the occasion with an update of what's left, which I've tried to capture in what amounts to a single image (and there are some larger and higher resolution photos here). Feel free to add your own.

    1st row:

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Mil-Spec, Omega Seamaster 60th Anniversary, Rolex Submariner "Hulk", Glashutte Original Senator Perpetual Calendar

    2nd row:

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph, Rolex Submariner 5513 (1981 Mk IV Maxi), Dornbluth Kal 0.40, Patek Philippe Aquanaut

    3rd row:

Omega SM300 (LWC), Grand Seiko 130th Anniversary, Omega Speedmaster 60th Anniversary, Zenith Chronomaster Moonphase

    4th row:

Breitling Navitimer 806 (1966), Jeager LeCoultre K880 (1960 birth year), Panerai PAM512, Breitling Aerospace Night Mission

Despite the loss mentioned above it's still a lovely collection, and I've remained true to my objective set last year to stay between 34-42mm.

Right, let's see your one shot collection photos then...

There are some crazy sized collections on here - some people must have a watch for each week of the year!

I still have half of that lot, actually

I'm just running out the door but will post an update later.

As I wasn’t supposed to be buying anymore watches at present (new CW) I surprised myself and expanded the numbers! I definitely have enough watches now......

Lovely set. It seems the VC 4500v is gaining popularity in this parish. Not without reason.

A bit of thread resurrection (I could have sworn it had been added to recently).

This morning I decided to tidy my desk. Discovering just how many of my watches were lying around on it or in the drawer I thought, as I haven't done an SOTC (I wouldn't know where to start), it would be a good opportunity to share some of my collection. It isn't by any means all of my collection but perhaps nearing half. Some are in need of a service or a new battery but otherwise most work.

As with all new collectors my initial purchasing was a bit scattergun, driven mainly by names, I mean who wouldn't want to own something with "Cosmotron" or "Dynotron" on the dial? I also like the whimsical like "Watertrip" and "Silverwave". For a while I have been focused on collecting Silverwaves but I still pick up other watches that catch my fancy. I've slowed a bit recently as I want to focus on servicing and repairs (although the latter might mean buying donor watches ). Anyway, in a single shot, here is (part of) my collection.
