Eddie had stated the 41mm version would be ready in September so it would seem logical that these are the 41mm.

I have my money burning a hole in my pocket for the 36mm one for Xmas.

I see. Thanks. I am keen on the 36mm. 41mm seems a bit large for my wrist.

Is Kemmner making these, or someone else? Eagerly awaiting the 36mm as well.

These are now being made in Hong Kong since Kemmner retired. I hesitate to say it but the quality is even better.

I've no intention of selling my 41 mm acrylic Everest. With 7.5" wrists, and being 6'3", it is just about the perfect size & heft for me. And I really like the acrylic crystal. I have it on a heavy olive green 2 piece canvas strap. Wearing it here in the office today, actually. At 40 degrees (that's 'F" not "C' over here) this morning on my way in to work, I thought it might be time to retire the divers until next spring.

The 36mm on the bracelet should be just right for wear with a suit, though I don't have need for that as often as I used to. I do think it might be a bit small for me for any everyday watch, though.

Question: Am I correct that the bracelet is to be 20mm, tapering to 18mm? Seems a bit wide for a 36mm case, but maybe 18 - 16mm would be really too slim. (And I think there was commentary that there were not any 16mm clasps?)

Eagerly looking forward to this release (and several others, too!).

    Yes the bracelet is 20 - 18 mm, altought I would have preferred a more traditional 20 - 16 ...

Just as an FYI for people asking about the bracelet. The original Rolex explorer reference 1016 on which Eddies Everest is based was 36mm case with a 20mm lug tapering to 16mm. The 36mm Everest will be 36mm with 20mm lug but tapering to 18mm . I think it will look great.

Agreed, you don't happen to know the comparative width of the cases and crystals do you...

This will come out great with the 36mm case, 28mm dial, 20mm lugs and improved hands! Fantastic proportions

One might argue that it would also be a very nice basis for a vintage Tudor Ranger homage.
I'm sure that a version of the Everest with a date window and Ranger hand set would look amazing compared to the current Tudor Rangers with their oversized cases and awful bracelets.

Like the Tudor 9050 for example (maybe sans loupe):

    Any thoughts on this?

I posted a mock-up about five years ago, based on the previous Everest:

I don't like the lack of lugs on the Tudor, but that dial/bezel design in an Everest case would be great.

If you look around the other watch forums, many people think even 42mm is too small.

Funny things taste, fashion. I'm just in the process of selling everything I own that is over 40mm because it looks to big to me on my 7.25" wrist. Not all about the case either. If this 36mm Everest had an 18mm bracelet or a really short lug to lug I would think it was too small. At 20mm it should look just dandy on me. Tiny margins make all the difference.

Me too but it's not functional. Whith a 12 hour bezel you can display time in two time zones if you wish.

Fluted external bezel, rotating internal 12 hours one? Or is that mission creep?

I think the PRS-44 case takes it too far away from the Everest.

Stick with the Everest style case but with a Turn-O-Graph style bezel with 12 hour markings.

I’ve got an original PRS-25, but really looking forward to the 36mm watch. Sorry if I missed it somewhere, but I assume it’ll have the same Miyota movement?
