I feel the same, it would look great on the potential Jenny Carribbean hommage, but feel there's nothing wrong with the current PRS25 bracelet, which, from all photos is a perfect match and fit for the watch.

Aye same here sounds great, but then if the first batch spec isn't repeated they become a more exclusive club.

I love the look of the bracelet on my PRS25, but its clasp is its weakness IMHO. I have mine on Natos so its not an issue for me.

I own an original PRS-25, the bracelet came off immediately and remains unworn in the box. However, whilst the smaller size of the 36mm merely tempts me, the added inclusion of a rivetted bracelet would be a deciding positive factor in buying one.

Should there be a second batch with a rivetted bracelet, would you consider supplying the bracelet alone to owners from the first batch?

The new clasp or the old clasp?

If they are anything like the rivet bracelet on the tiger concept watches then they are like mini spring bars, one either side on the reverse of the rivet head. Quite easy to resize.

Great news Eddie, a good reason to wait for second batch, because I believe that rivets perfectly match the 36 mm Everest.

In this second batch please could you consider a crown with Smith logo on ?

When this second batch could be available ?

    Thanks.

But it probably will, yours was one of the 18 I shipped today. All orders from this week now shipped.

Without wanting to jinx it. I don't think there is a risk of it not selling out.

I also don't really care for the riveted bracelet.

    Now that's excellent news, Eddie!

On the one hand I suspect you're sick of packing parcels, on the other hand it must be nice to have good launches like this and the 29 have been.

Yes it's good and bad. It's good to get some cash back in because the up-front payments almost skint me (and the 30% deposits for what's coming) but it's hard work getting all the stuff out. My back is wrecked from standing and stooping over the packing bench.

I must also say that your packaging is ace. Good size, secure both from theft (without making it obvious) and shocks yet very green, without loads of foam or air bubbles or anything.

Received mine this morning. Over the moon with it

If anything it's even nicer on the wrist than I'd hoped. No pics yet (and knowing me and photography don't hold your breath...!).

Just back from the PO to pick up mine, and initial impressions are very good.

Old next to new here. You can't see in this pic particularly, but the dial is a deeper black on the new one. Plastic still on bracelet because I don't have time to sort it this morning, but I'll be getting some links out and wearing it that way later. For now, it'll be off with the bracelet and onto a strap.

(I have to say, just with a quick play, the new clasp is a lovely piece of engineering.)

You can clearly see that the shorter and thinner hash markers on the new version give a better balance to the dial (in my opinion).

    Just collected mine from Postie.

I think overall its great improvement...all the little tweaks... I just can't seem to deal with the size lug to lug :(

Patience required... the 36mm may be the answer.

quick question for anyone with a new one, is the rotor noise any less noticeable what with the sapphire crystal, and anti mag shield, than in the original version?

Got the bracelet sized and fitted now :-)

Dial is definitely better balanced, it's lovely and spacious.

Links in bracelet are slightly shorter, and I think the bigger clasp balances the head better. Adjustment on the bracelet is good, as well, single sided screws. The old bracelet has a lot of micro-adjustment in the clasp, the new one has much less, but it wasn't hard to get a good fit (and the ratchet thing is always there as well).

Dial is definitely blacker. The Everest logo is a bit easier to see as well.

Case looks a touch longer/thinner through the lugs, but I only notice it with the two side by side. Case edges are a touch sharper/cleaner I think as well. I'd say the case is a tiny bit thinner and the caseback a bit deeper, but again only noticeable with the two side by side. The engraving in the caseback in the old model is deeper.

The crystal gives more reflections than the acrylic, but the underside AR is pretty good. It seems to make the dial seem 'brighter' as well. I'll miss the domed acrylic, but the profile on this sapphire pretty much matches the older acrylic. (My old Everest needs to go to the SC to help pay for the new one.)

I think they both sound as loud as each other, maybe a bit quieter on the new model? I like the rotor sound, though, so I'm not a good judge.

Overall, really like the upgrade, very happy with this indeed.

I haven't bought a watch new for 7.5 years, and it's more than 8 since I bought a new mechanical (a PRS-3 from Eddie here, which I ended up trading against the old model Everest). This is a very nice thing to break that trend with!

For the 36mm version, what about red 'EVEREST' text? Like the date-windowed Ranger-inspired mock-up I'm sure I saw earlier in this thread.

    chuckle, no I suppose not.

You can really see the new darker black on this version, the face does look much improved, better balanced than the original.
