Been after one for years ?

Just goes to show that TZUK hasn't changed with time. Back bitting was an original feature!
You mean 264 Signals squadron?
So far as I know, there is no special air service unit with the designation 264 and there never has been.
Referring to 264 as an SAS unit is misleading.
The correct designation is 264 (SAS) Signal Squadron

Someone told me today he couldn’t tell me who he served with nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
He Just kept giving me hints then saying he couldn’t say any more,he couldn’t or wouldn’t give me his service no.
Then he said it was a unit with numbers and letters if I got his drift, what the 12th regiment of foot ffs.
If he was ex SAS why the hell couldnt he tell me?
Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
I used to fence with a bloke who said he was a cook in the army
Slop Jockey - Hardest course to pass in the Army, no one has managed it
So a signals bloke (of all people) uses a parachute regiment term to insult someone for not having done something that they themselves have not done......Hat.
Considering that the term "hat" refers to someone who wears a peaked cap on parade rather than having earned the right to wear a beret of certain colours, it's inaccurately directed anyway.
All in all, a pretty unsuccessful post.
Hat.

I must be one of the few on here who was actually at Sennybridge during summer selection.
I was in the Army Cadets though, we happened to be having our summer camp at the same time as selection :-)
The Saturday and Sunday club
There was no right to wear a beret or a cap badge when I wore the green suit. Everything seemed to be deemed a privilege!
The best squaddies were always the modest and unassuming ones.
Beat me to it
Surely if you wear a watch with the SAS wings on, that’s clearly a regular watch commissioned for said steely eyed dealers of radios, you might risk an awkward conversation?

Everyone’s ones elite or special forces these days.
Forces TV had a couple of RAF regiment chaps on an American military shoot em up challenge programme the other day.
Even they where referred to as special forces.
Personally it was the cooks and storemen I had most bother with, a ladle over the knuckles hurt like hell.
And the number of female AD staff one of our members has had knowledge of, each one also offering a discount.
And they were ALL on the balcony in ‘80!

Anybody remember the Joint Services Parachute Centre, Netheravon? Used to work there as a "civvie" in the early 70's. Used to get some *interesting" visitors now and again.
