Seiko Tuna I just got one again

A few years ago I bought a new Seiko Tuna SBBN007 and loved it but for some reason I thought it felt a bit top heavy and I sold it but it was my first dive watch and since then I have owned lots of different dive watches even heavier than the Tuna.

The thing is the Tuna is so iconic and different and I always missed it and looked longingly at pictures on the forum, so I decided I wanted to try another but the handset on the newer models didn't really appeal to me so I didn't bother.

Recently I was looking again and for some reason I just love the handset on the new models now so I thought let's get one even though my wrists are only 6.5" 😳

I recieved it this morning from a member on here it is a SBBN033 and it has totally blown me away it is stunning and nowhere near as big as I thought it was and it sits beautifully on my wrist and the new Seiko soft rubber strap is fantastic 👍

This model has the polished shroud which I was unsure of but boy when you see it close up it just works so well 😊

So so I am really pleased to have another Seiko to wear as it is my only watch and I wanted Quartz as I have gone off autos.

Ok now you are going to say where are the pictures but the problem is I just can't seem to upload pictures onto this site anymore as Photobucket is useless and imgur just gives a link, so I am sorry but there aren't any but if anyone with smaller wrists is unsure about the watch it really isn't a huge watch at all so give one a try.

Congrats! They wear smaller than you think indeed.

Uploading pics is easier from the mobile app, you can upload directly if pics are on your phone.

Congrats - sounds like a happy reunion!

The Tuna size size has put me off, so I'm looking forward to your pictures changing my mind.

There is one currently on eBay. I'm don't know how this price compares but it is listed as tax free. I have no association with the seller:

From your phones app store, assuming you have Apple or Android. There is a dedicated app based on Tapatalk (which opens multiple fora)

One of these is definitely on my wish list, I'm finding more and more that dive watches are my preferred genre... My partner says 'they all look the same'! As if!

I am wearing it now and honestly on my 6.5" wrist it feels so comfortable I don't feel I have it on and the great thing about the Tuna is it is such an iconic design it is so different plus it is Quartz which I much prefer.

I had the Sbbn 115 loved it... but with the bracelet it was just to heavy. I have 8 inch wrists and the watch looked great...just to heavy for me.

    So you found one then?

Still waiting for a lull at work so I can send my 017 to Duncan for the crystal and battery change, but I've complicated things by shearing a hex bolt on the shroud while I was trying to fit the new one. Jesus those screws are in tight. Two came out with little fuss but the third defeated me. A common problem apparently so be careful if you do attempt it.

The new torx screws are ready and waiting, and I'm praying Duncan can work his magic on it.

What do you think? New one or getting one from second market...?
    Thinking about 2nd option
