    An Amundsen Imperial tonight.

This stuff is dark enough to stain the glass!

Had another of the reliably excellent ales from Allendale the other day . . .

Always nice to have a furnace warm cheery glow at this time of year . . .

We went for a week's break in Lyme Regis in August, the place was to be kind, a bit dull and boring, but we were lucky to stumble across a small brewery making this NEIPA. It is my favourite beer for a long time, sadly we are down to our last two cans, and buying it online is stupidly expensive. But I may have to bite the bullet.

A family friend is coming over tonight, haven't had a beer together since before lockdown last year. Got a couple of beers lined up. And a bottle of Scallywag to have a go at afterwards.

Sent through the ether by diddling with radio waves

My favourite drinking establishment has that on tap, it's a top drop and no mistake though more of a warmer weather ale for me.

Stouts, on the other hand, are where it's at with the colder weather ---

I love that Ruby, don’t see it very often in these parts, on cask it must be wonderful.

Couple of tasties from last night.

I genuinely don’t think there’s a better low alcohol pale than Kernel’s Table Beer. Every brew has a different hop profile but it’s always light, fruity and fresh. This was Citra Chinook.

And one from one of my current favourite craft breweries in London, Drop Project down in Mitcham. Their monthly beer box (9 delivered for £42) is really top value for the quality and styles. This was lovely, creamy, zesty and the fruity esters from the Kveik yeast gave it a dry, fresh crispness at the end.

I agree on the Table beer, always nice. I prefer my beers to be of lower strength so it’s a regular sip for me.

    First of the evening

    Second

I love this one, a bit lively 3.9% so right on the money for me.

Both are from my local brewery and well worth trying if you find them in your local beer shop.

Agreed with the Brother-in-law that instead of Xmas gifts, we’’d get an empty beer calendar and fill it for each other. Something I can get on board with..
Todays brew is a local Hazy Double IPA from a brewery I haven’t heard of - cracking name too..

    There I was having a pleasant swally yesterday . . .

. . . when a nice German lass who lectures at the University placed stollen and brandy on the bar, it would have been rude not to . . .

Refusal often offends and why cause offence over such tasty treats.

I have been putting off drinking this one for weeks as it’s 6% and a bit strong for me, however it’s really nice
Could not drink more than one though as it’s quite sweet
