It may not be to everyone's taste but I'm a big fan of staropramen at the moment!

I’ve also started to take a monthly subscription from Mitcham’s Drop Project. So far, so good.

Recent buys from Manchester’s Track and Bristol’s Left Handed Giant also went down very well.

That stout was a tad too much on the syrupy side.

Bitter & Twisted. A beer with some fond memories for me (incl. a trip to the brewery when they were small & independent).

Apologies Bob. Just read this again - to clarify it was a comment on your choice for first beer and not intended to offend!

Hahaha! Tickled me Alan! Whilst the Bitter and Twisted is very nice, I was supping the Prince Bishop, it's my go to pint when there's no stout or porter on and quite aptly named here in the Palatinate. The landlord is off galavanting around southern Europe with his missus in a very large Porsche at the moment, but I'll be on to him to get some dark beer in when he's back.

    This was yesterday afternoons tipple
It’s a bit of a Mekon (all head and F all else) not helped by the frozen glass but it hit the spot.
Back in Blighty now and real beer.

    Fix is OK but

Next time in Greece try this, much better imo.

Available draught, bottled and cans. Mythos is very popular, don't know why, probably good marketing? Alfa is nicer, Mamos better still 

Mamoz is my go to beer there, see the 2 bottles behind the dark ;-) (and my earlier post)
Mythos is cr@p, too gassy, Alpha is not much better. The standard Fix lager is my 2nd choice. Thankfully the local brewery on Kefalonia does a craft beer.

I live half of the year next door, Zakynthos, plenty of opportunity to try different stuff and there's a brewery here to. "Zante " beer is nice but expensive. I've got to know a wholesaler here and buy a crate of 20 x 500ml bottles for just 20 euros. That covers, Mythos, Fix, Amstel, Alfa, Mamos.

Buying any beer out is expensive in comparison.

On holiday this week, not far from this old gem at Hook Norton. One of only a few Victorian “tower breweries”.

No time to do the full tour unfortunately, but a visit to the brewery tap snagged this mini-haul.

First of the night, £1:85 each or 4 for £6 at local Morrison’s, not usual for me quite hoppy but nice and good value.
