I remember going around the Copper Dragon brewery in Skipton. It was set up by an ex Rolls Royce engineer, Steve something. The coppers were all titanium if thats not s contradiction in terms. Very hi tech plant.The 2nd and 3rd of the beers the bairn gave me. Both hazy, as was the 1st. If I was served beer in a pub looking like this it would be returned for either a different beer or a refund. They taste ok, typical light IPA flavours, but certainly nothing special, but look dreadful. A big part of enjoying both food and drink is how it appeals to the eye, to deny that is just affectation. Good beer should be sparkling and crystal clear to show it's condition. I guess the hazy thing is the latest "look at me I know more than you" fashion. Mind I could be wrong, I've only been at it for 45 years! ;-)
Their ambition was to brew a bitter that was so clear you could read a newspaper through it.
Sadly it closed about two years ago, never knew why.
Still seems to be going, perhaps he sold it on ?
A mate has a unit on the same industrial estate - Copper Dragon are indeed alive and kicking.

I don't mean to gloat. We are free to do pretty much whatever we want, although a rise in cases this week has put a few specific places on lockdown.
People are worried about being allowed to travel for Spring Festival/TET. We're due to fly to Phu Quoc on Sunday. It's still on at the moment, but things change by the day.

Now I am genuinely craving ca. 10 hand-pulled pints of the latter in the Marble Arch pub (best pub in Manchester!)
What you can’t tell from the photo is there is a significant slope on the floor - many a pint has been known to slide off the tables!

Lovely looking pub there! Like you I crave some good hand pulled ale in a public bar, and I believe there is now a light at the end of the tunnel. Meanwhile, after one of these earlier . . .

Oh god, take me back. Last time I was in there was summer 2019. Sat at a barstool for a good few hours working my way through their wares. I think Pint was on for about £3.10 or something. Amazing. Can’t wait to get back.This was nice:

This was gifted to me for Xmas. Epic!
Drop Project are rapidly cementing themselves as one of my favourite London breweries.
Verdant did a nice thing and let investors have this little lot for thirty quid...
Tonight’s roll of honour.
All of which were excellent. Verdant’s beers have really hit a purple patch since they opened the new brewery. Bar one or two, which were average, everything I’ve had has been really good.
Tonight’s slightly disappointing effort?
I generally find Siren’s beers very good. I’ve had BACCC before in previous years and enjoyed it a lot. This felt like it was canned too soon. Like a stout that’s had a shot of bourbon depth-charged into it. Not smooth enough, edges not rounded off sufficiently. Good but not great.
