It's a double stout evening for me.

A Sam Smith's Organic Chocolate and a Young's Chocolate Stout.

    Merry Christmas all!

Haven't had a Smith's stout for ages Simon, used to love a jaunt up the Town, stash a selection from Fenwick's in a rucksack and have slurp before the train yem! Hope all here have a good festive weekend. Meanwhile . . .

Spot on Alan! It was my first try out with my new (to me) Canon 5D, and the heavens opened. Took shelter in a doorway, and when the rain stopped the rainbow appeared. Hope you have a great weekend and hopefully see you relatively soon. Good Friday perhaps? ;-)

Too early for a can of beer?

I agree. It’s the correct time for a refreshing beer. It’s cold here today...might have to keep popping outside for firewood!

    Merry Christmas all

Yep, plenty of Polish goodness there. If I’m not mistaken that’s a Beer52 box selection. It looks very similar to a photo a mate of mine sent me a few days ago.

I've never really got into dark beer but I thought I would dip my toe in to the Dark Side. This brewery is local to me but had never heard of it.

Quite nice really and at 7.5‰ it has set me up for my afternoon nap quite nicely.

Staropramen, which goes rather well with the ludicrous quantity of spicy snacks that have been kindly sent my way over the holiday period.

No Pics, but Mauldons Silveradder 4.2, light, hoppy, possibly my favourite beer (especially at their Brewery Tap) contenting myself with a 5 litre mini keg, Cheers, John B4

Excuse the odd question, but is that from a tin or bottle ? I’m curious about the bubble colour, size and shape (yes, I know I need to get a life !)

  36. #3786
Good question Joe ! From a pint bottle. Unfortunately not a creamy head like draught but the Glass is from the Guinness brewery in Dublin. :)

  37. #3787
Under the current circumstances I can't even suggest you get out more! Lol!

I missed Guinness so had to buy a compressor, a keg, a chiller, a keg coupler, a cylinder of 70/30 nitrogen, primary nitro regs, nitro tap with stout filter, a secondary coupler for temperature compensation, thermometer, Guinness glasses.

I really need to start going out again.

I prefer the taste of ‘original’ Guinness over draft. The back to basics bottles they did a year or so ago were really nice especially the blue label version, you can’t seem to get them any more which is a shame.
I do still like a pint of draft. I have not had one for nearly a year I would guess!

I've got a few of these cans of Wilson so, occasionally, I force myself to open one:
(only occasionally because it is not a very nice beer! )

I usually buy it when their free postage offer is on, it works out at @ £1.90 per bottle. Like you I am eking out my stash, down to 6 bottles now. If you are desperate the code WELCOME15 has always worked for me, although not quite as good a saving.

This is new for me. I am a big fan of Wychwood beers, glad there's one more to try.
