Ghost Ship for me. I always have a few in the beer fridge.
But I thought I would crack open one of these whilst cooking dinner
Very nice
Out for a couple with Mrs T at Granville’s, cask beer £3 on Wednesdays! , starting with nice fruity IPA from Wilde Child - Dispassionate Hustle
Probably followed by the Brownie Hunter (or two!)

I was up in Magirus' neck of the woods yesterday. Whilst no.1 son was having a job interview (all fingers and toes crossed), Mrs Sish and I spent a pleasant hour in Fenwicks. Picked up a few different beers, including some Hop On gluten-free IPA. Sadly though they didn't have any Sam Smiths Chocolate Stout on the shelves.
As the name suggests, Hop On is very heavy on the hops with a kind of grapefruit finish. Recommended.

This week has been testing at work. Thursday night involved a 300 laps pale ale from Verdant, Doses Pilsner from Duration and this IPA collab between Cloudwater and Verdant (which wasn’t great if I’m honest).
And last night I enjoyed four beers all of which were completely new to me.
A fruity little pale from Lost Pier to start with,
Another excellent pale from Pipeline to follow,
My final can of one of Verdant’s best beers of 2020,
And finally, I decided to top the evening off with an absolute juice-missile...
How these brewers craft beers of this strength and retain such flavour and drinkability, without it being completely overtaken by the booze, is beyond me. Absolute alechemy!
It’s definitely a fine art !

Three for the evening.
Any good? My local beer shop has that in stock at the moment as well as its imperial big brother Cake Metropolis.
Picked up these earlier today - 4 WCIPAs and 4 variations on stouts. Looking forward to trying them all however it's the two cans lower right that I'm looking forward to the most, particularly the bottom right chestnut and blueberry imperial stout from Barcalona's Garage Beer Co.
beer
First one tonight , sweet definitely marshmallow/jammy/chocolate with slight bitterness to end , not bad at all.

Thought I would try something new tonight:
I was expecting it to taste similar to other IPAs I enjoy but it is sufficiently different to be interesting and very nice. Pleasantly surprised.

A year ago I stayed at Traquair House in Innerleithen, feudal home of the Stuarts. So obviously I had a mixed case of Traquair House Ale and Jacobite delivered. Quite excellent!

Had a takeaway curry tonight, so treated myself to one of these to go with it.
Very dark for a non-Dunkel German beer, not too heavy but full of flavour.
Recommended.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
Thank you, the Ease Up is a staple favourite and the Shipyard will be added to the rotation.
The pasty was very good. Unfortunately I succomed to the stall holder's cunning marketing ploy of “One for £3 or two for £5" and sadly ended up with another pasty to enjoy next week.
Just restocked the beer fridge in the garage
Some how I don’t think this will last lockdown 2

My local has just got Beavertown Neck-oil in. A nice fresh IPA. A couple of pints on a Sunday afternoon go down well.

Had this Saturday in Jim’s ( son working ‘till 4) tastes like banana foam sweets, not bad though, one probably enough! Then popped into Granville’s for a pint of Brownie Hunter.

Getting one in at Granville’s before lockdown 2.0 , Saltaire Cafe Culture, Mocha Latte Stout , creamy with coffee finish. Tempted to get growler filled but don’t know if I could do another three pints , they do have Kirkstall Three Swords on cask too so may have that instead

Any good? My Untappd thoughts while drinking it...
“Sweets for my sweet. Sweet like chocolate bo-oy. It’s sweet. A tad on the sickly sweet side to be fair. But also to be fair, a decent stout with a middling body, smooth with balanced bitterness from the coffee. I like it but don’t love it.”
3.75
I’d say if you like the sweeter side, have a go, it wasn’t a bad beer by any means but needed a bit less sugar and a bit more ooomph for me.
How was your little haul?
Some sneaky dipas and Terry's Chocolate Orange imperials in da hoose

Sounds like Cake Metropolis may be the way forward with that then as the imperial element would certainly bring the oomph!
My haul? Due to various and multiple circumstances tonight is the first night I've had an opportunity to properly kick back and relax with one, and I'm supping as I type.
Lervig's (deep breath) 12.1% twelve month bourbon Barrel-Aged Molten Double Chocolate Fudge Cake Supreme, and it's an absolute knockout. I've posted a few of Amundsen's dessert-in-a-can series of stouts over the last month or two and I've enjoyed them all though they are very sweet and incredibly indulgent in a one-can-is-enough kind of way, this is my first ever Lervig and if it's typical of their offerings then I'll be getting myself some more. Deep, dark and bitter chocolate, an underlying vanila note (presumably from the bourbon barrels) and a tiramisu coffee tone without the almost syrupy taste sensations that the Amundsens sometimes impart leaves me thinking that it would be a pleasure, and not a challenge, to pour one more can after the first. It's a big old stout, there's no doubting that, however there's an easy going nature with it as well.
4.7/5. It's that good.
