Went to my niece's wedding yesterday in York. It was a lovely day with close family and friends. The ladies got a miniature of gin as a wedding favour and for the gents it was a bottle of Guzzler. And very nice it is too. Cheers!

Mmmmm beer. What beer are we drinking tonight?

I’ve just ordered a sub and a number of Torps in anticipation of the World Cup while it’s on offer, cold drought beer at home sounds ideal and the novelty factor should go down a treat with friends

has anyone else got or used one?

I ordered a bit of everything so plenty to try

Been out cutting a rather large lawn and doing a general garden tidy up. This unexpected heat has got me lathered, so in a little while I shall be reprising my recent efforts. In snakebite we trust . . .

I've brought Mrs Sish away to the beautiful county that is Northumberland. Staying at Matfen Hall. First beer of the day is a local ale called Auld Hen. A nice start at 3.8%.

Just had a Timothy Taylor landlord to mark the end of the week as I loaded up the Weber with 2 beer can chickens. After days of great weather in the North West guess what - pi**ing it down

Amongst one or two others I had a couple of these last night.

I can see myself trying out a few more sours over the Summer, and I'll most certainly be having a few more of the above.

That's one of the best beer names. I'll have to get one for Mrs Sish.

The usual suspects tonight. Had a Bank's Amber earlier to quench the thirst and now on to matters of body and flavour, so . . .

. . . plus an Old Peculier on standby chilling if required.

Had a Hobgoblin earlier, now savouring an Old Peculier. That's me until Friday now, I like a few days off. Seeing the Leffes earlier in the thread has me thinking I'll get some for next weekend.

Had a cheeky lunchtime pint today, the White Hart in Halstead (Essex) brews its own so a pint of their Halstead bitter did the trick.Cheers, John B4

Co op Triple Hop, surprisingly good, it's relegated the Punk IPA to the back-up role.

Greene King do a delicious 5% lager called Noble. It was around for a while in a couple of pubs in Winchester and then disappeared. I assumed it was from a microbrewery and that was that but I picked up some cans (for the father-in-law, he loves it) in Tesco the other day.

Had two of Sainsbury’s own (Marstons brewery) tonight. One was a Rye Pale Ale, and the other was an IPA. Can’t remember the name now and the bottles have already gone into recycling. Both quite nice, the IPA reminded me of shipyard

Had a very nice pint of Adnam's Ease Up IPA this weekend, a very refreshing summer style session beer.

I don't usually go in for tasting notes etc but they said passion fruit notes and a) I could definitely sense it on the nose and b) it worked really well.

A lovely pint for the beer garden this summer.

After a looooooong week of being the Oncall engineer for our site, it's time for a well deserved beer. First up is a light and crisp IPA.
