Yes I know it's only half past three but Mrs Sish and I are experiencing the delights of a local brewery this afternoon. I'm on Bell Tower, a tasty and full bodied stout. If you're still at work, put your phone away and keep those wheels of industry turning. There's a good chap.

Good to see some local breweries in that copy of Cheers, the 3 Horseshoes at Leamside is just along the back road from me, and Hill Island is a short walk down the hill in town, I've known Michael for quite a few years, since he worked in the Tap and Spile at Framwellgate Moor.

Visiting Salisbury so trying the local brew, light & fresh it is too.
May top off with a cheeky G&T later.

Hobgoblin is possibly the best value bottled ale going in terms of price~flavour~strength, £1.25 in my local Tesco.

Just necking an ice cold bottle of Estrella. Easy way to unwind after a hot day in the garden.

Please enjoy your beer for me. I'm the Oncall engineer until 7.00am next Friday. It's tea for me but please let me know what you're enjoying.

Not beer, but a pint of Sheppy's Traditional Somerset Cider from Marks and Sparks. Seems to go nicely with Monte Cristo Open Junior.

Just opened a bottle of the very refreshing Bank's Amber which kept me going as I changed from a Damasko DA37 and wound and set my '84 Datejust for a weeks wear. The price of the Bank's is refreshing too, 89p from Home Bargains!

Tempted to pick some up yesterday but opted for Adnams and a few IPAs. Will get some for next weekend.

I do like a Belgian beer or two but it's a mite too expensive for a regular drink. I did a new site migration in Brussels a few years ago so had the benefit of local beer on company expenses. Result!

Delishes but deadly. If one is not careful the proverbial pub crawling in Brussels means exactly what it says on the tin, or the glass

The Bar Proppers. Even though a few of our team need to sit down all night due to their dodgy knees!

For 5.2% at £1.25 it would be rude not to . . .

I know it's early but I've been Oncall all week. Now done with that nonsense for another month so have snuck out for a few pints. Mmmm Friday beer. Love it.

Seeing as it's Friday, I've had a Bank's Amber quencher and now something a little stronger (7.3%) but so smooth . . .

My beer glass collection continues to grow nicely with a couple of new arrivals today. It would be rude not to make good use of the Ghost ship glass

Mmmmm beer. What beer are we drinking tonight?

Not normally a fan of Fullers but this is very drinkable if a bit potent.

This is a nice hoppy number, again a bit or strong for a school night.

It looks like a few of us have the Adnam's glass

    Next!
Not tried this one before, goes well with biltong.
