Picked these up from my local beer shop tonight; two different Wylam's, two Burnt Mills and a Polly's Brew Co (formally Loka Polly). I'm looking forward to trying out those I haven't tried before however the real prize is getting my mitts on some more of Wylam's Jakehead!

Got home from work, been busy on clean up duties at The Cube student accommodation fire in Bolton, wife treated me to a pub tea. Currently drinking Black Perle, ( spelling is correct ) , a coffee flavoured stout ,and rather nice it is too.

Last night.
Another newbie from the lads at Falmouth’s finest, snappy, bitter, hoppy, a tad vegetal... need another to be sure. Fortunately I have 3...
And this from Cheltenham’s DEYA is one of the best hazy IPA’s I’ve had all year. Smooth as silk. If you see this, buy it!
Today.
A cheeky half at Craftbeer Co Covent Garden before my haircut. Thornbridge Etherow “hoppy bitter” on cask. I find their canned and bottled efforts muted, but on cask, Thornbridge shines. This was no exception.
Dinner at Borough Market with a mate then a cheeky tin at The Rake. Tried something completely new, Cliff Jumper IPA from Kentucky’s Country Boy Brewing. Smooth, fruity and subtley hopped.
And finally, a celebrated Double IPA from Verdant (again), loving up to its billing. Tropical fruits abound in this Citra-packed stunner.

Very creamy/vanillary with hint of chocolate, really good ! Magic Rock @Huddesfield.
S Works , Verdant is one my son’s favourite brewers, he went to their bar when on holiday in Cornwall recently and I brought him a tin of a collaboration with Garage Brewing when me & Mrs T were in Barcelona

I am the On-call engineer for our site this week so it's no beer. However Mrs Sish kindly picked up this low alcohol number... but it's actually not that nice. A bit thin in terms of taste and mouth feel. The Ghost Ship low alcohol is a much more acceptable beer substitute.

Here's away for the first of the evening, don't care for the revamped labels but the contents are first rate . . .

Wow, this is a lovely beer. It just gone to the top of my favourites. Its like drinking nectar and goes down too easily. Luckily the pub close by in Conwy always has it on tap.

Been a good weekend for trying some new beers.
Track Brewing Co from Manchester celebrated their 5th birthday with a special series of five brews.
I’ve sampled the first two this weekend, a 3.0% Table Beer and a 4.0% Strawberry and Lemon Sour. The former stands toe-to-toe with Kernel’s, which hitherto has for me been the king apparent. Hazy, smooth, stone & citrus fruit, crisp, dry and moderately bitter. Lovely. The sour was like a strawberry lemonade sherbert, bloody marvellous.
And a completely new brewery to me - Pretty Decent from Waltham Forest - who’ve done a collaboration brew with our local independent wine and beer shop.
A Belgian-style IPA with a bunch of adjuncts that twist it away from any notion of IPA that you’d expect. Close your eyes and your taste buds will tell you you’re drinking a Belgian ale or a fruited Porter. Feint hints of cherry on the nose carry to the tastebuds. Sipping smooth and fruity with chocolate cacao notes, the cherry-choc lingers on the tongue and palate, with a dry, subtly bitter finish. Not for everyone, but I very much enjoyed this.

St. Austell also do an excellent 6% black IPA called Proper Black, and Greene King also do a 4.5% black IPA. Tesco used to stock both but haven't had either for quite a while. I contacted them to protest, but to no avail. Philistines.

Nothing can quite compare to one of those. The storm I mean. Got caught in two when I was in Sourh Africa. I was quite relived to find shelter quickly, I didn't fancy getting stuck in my tinny little hire car. I appreciated the beer I had once I got back to my accommodation.

Sunday night is now no/low abv night for me. I like a Sunday beer but not the Monday morning grogginess.
Brewdog Punk AF is my regular (not shown) but I’ve wanted to try Big Drop beers for a while as they appear to be getting a good rep.
Their lager was, well, a bit weird to be honest. The nose was of berries, feint strawberry to be precise, and the taste was less like lager and more like a weak fruit tea. Probably not one I’ll rush back to!
I've been on Lagunitas DayTime for a while - I could drink that all the time.
