Where did you find that? Used me be one of my favourite pints but it disappeared out of the shops must be over ten years ago. I thought that they had gone out of business so I'm glad to see they haven't. I'll have to look a little harder.

Asda have the bottles, Morrison’s have the cans. Sainsbury’s have the cans, Tesco no longer stock it & doesn’t seem to be in Waitrose.

After slaving in the kitchen making a sweet potato empanada for wor lass and the bairns I felt the need to replace lost fluids . . .

Mmmmm beer. What beer are we drinking tonight?

Seems to be the form to add a watch to the bottle - so here goes....

First and last Staropramen that was nestled in the salad drawer for some reason. Then, am sorely tempted by a glass of the red stuff.
I will not be touching the Reggae Reggae in the background....

I had a cheeky pint of Harvest Pale earlier in the evening, if I can submit that too?

You can guess which two shops I've been looking in then .

    Thanks for the heads up.

Asda, £1 a bottle. As I said it was for a casserole but enjoyed it so much that I may need to stock up

Whilst drinking in the slightly bonkers Railway Bar in Hanoi it is customary to squish your bottle caps on the rails.

90p in my local Tesco, or 89p in Aldi if I can be ar$ed to walk between the car parks when shopping. Tremendous value, and a lovely refreshing drink.

My current favourite. It's a lot like Brew Dog's Punk IPA only with a lighter taste. Only £1.10 a tin in Aldi.

I agree. Aldi has a couple of decent canned ales in currently. I picked up some of this, some Williams Brothers Rubus Grapefuit IPA and a couple of bottles of Dark Matter coffee porter. It's a shame my local Aldi doesn't seem to stock the Mud City Stout. I can no longer get Young's Double Chocolate Stout in my local Tesco either :(

I’ve never seen Mud City in Aldi, I buy mine next door in Home Bargains, although there’s none in at the moment. :-( As well as Dark Matter my local Aldi usually has Spill the Beans in, which is also very good.

Escaped a house full of cackling females for a jacket hunt up the Toon. Would be rude not to call in the Crown Posada en route back to the station . . .

Had to dash for the next train so used an older pic I already had of that ale. However with 9 on offer I could have stayed a lot longer!

First encountered this fine ale in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago, and luckily it has migrated closer to me in St Andrews! 5.2abv - just right!

A friend has a pub in the City and a few years ago some bright young things arrived with his "summer portfolio" of ales to choose from, because the British drinker "traditionally drinks his dark ales in the winter and the lighter ones in the summer". He let some regulars loose on them, who quickly convinced them that they knew precisely nothing about drinking and drinkers. I shall indeed look out for that Ralph.

Called in for supplies at Beer Ambleside (more of that later I expect), and it would be rude not to try a few samples whilst here. This one is a Tarn House Brewery Pale Ale, cloudy and strong on the citrus flavours which I rather like.
