Alas, I found a taste for the Valhalla and before I knew it, it was kicking out time. I will certainly be back to make the most of the selection during this sojourn in the UK.

I'm not much of a beer-at-home type as I'd rather be propping up a bar, but I had a pint of this recently and liked it so much I got SWMBO to pick up a few bottles for me.

My mate left this after the party last night....seems a shame let it go to waste. If this combo doesn’t cure my mini-hangover then I’m doomed.

It is a well understood medical fact that fruit is terrible for a hangover, you need some bacon to go with your pint.

You can't have bacon without a runny egg.

Glad he didn’t have 100 assorted glasses :)

The 41st Peterborough Beer Festival starts today... I am sure I will be sampling their wares, half a pint at a time later this evening, starting with an Adnams Barrel Aged Stout at 6.7%abv

Tell me Bob, is this the ideal combination? Is it really milk and Stout? If so you need nothing else in a day, two pints a day will sort you out for life, all your daily needs are catered for ;)

    Deal Bob!, sounds good.

I've got at least one mate who's eager to go to Newcastle again for a drink and a match ;).

I'm going to give him his belated birthday present this weekend, 7 cans of Parbo from Suriname!
