After three hours of clearing brambles I think I've earned this:

    Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Picked these up earlier today - two lassi goses, a lassi and a lassi DIPA.

L to R - Alefarm's Imperial blackcurrent and cinnamon LG "Eternity Is A Matter Of Perspective", Neon Raptor's Brambleberry LG "Passing Piranhas", Tiny Rebel's blackcurrent pastry lassi and Northern Monk's "Double Mango Lassi Heathen" mango lassi DIPA.

NR's PP is a favourite of mine however the others are new to me, maybe I'll have a new favourite later tonight

    Lassi

I think this is the first paddy’s day I have spent in doors since I was about 18... and I don’t have any Guinness in the house!!!!
A couple of IPAs from the local brewery for me.

They are well worth trying if you can find them

Currently in Lanzarote but told to stay in our hotel rooms until Friday, luckily our mini bar is getting topped up on a daily basis. There are a few bottles of this to be had. Very drinkable in the sun on the balcony but suspect it would be nicer if we were actually sat around the pool.

A little help for those missing the ambience of their local in the evening. Try putting one of these by your hand basin.

My brother in law kindly gave me a voucher for my birthday. So sent the girls out and they came back with this little ensemble.

I've just got home from Lanzarote. In the kitchen I found that my neighbour who has been keeping an eye on my house had left me this. I've greedily just opened, poured and drank it.

Just a quick note. In these troubled times, Men of England, I ask you to rally round and keep our breweries in business. Looking through this thread, there are bottled and tinned beers aplenty to suit all tastes and pockets so when you're out stocking up on pasta and toilet rolls, can you find room for at least a few beers and keep our hardworking brewers in business.

    Cheers!

Well I went in Tesco earlier and it seems that I'm not drinking beer tonight - the shelves have been literally cleared.

Mmmmm beer. What beer are we drinking tonight?

Can I please implore you NOT to buy beer from supermarkets now. So many small U.K. breweries and small independent bottle shops are struggling to survive but almost all will deliver direct to your door.

If you’d like suggestions I’m happy to make them. Let me know what town you live in and your favourite beers and I will be glad to add links here.

Now is a good time to try some new beers from some of the most amazing U.K. producers.

Every style you can possibly think of is out there.

Great idea. I see you are a fan of Cloudwater and Marble beers. I know them both very well!

Once this is all over I’d like to invite you to Manchester to sample from the ‘brewery taps’ (the Marble Arch is the best pub in Manchester, in my opinion. Their Manchester Bitter is simply sublime.)

Gladly mate. Spent an enjoyable few hours there last spring with a pal who lives in Didsbury. Pint, or Metric, as it’s now known, is a personal favourite.

Did you go to the Cloudwater tap? Back then it was under the arches at the back of Piccadilly station. It’s since moved to next to the brewery (it’s a better venue now, but lacking in the charm of the old place).

We have a research collaboration with Cloudwater, they are a great brewery.

Sadly not. We started up on Burton Road, had an early pint in a bar there, then lunch and a couple at The Metropolitan before taking a cab into town. A couple in the sunshine at The Angel Pub, then went up to the Marble Arch and enjoyed it so much we stayed for about 3 hours. By the time we left we were in an "advanced state of refreshment" and beat a retreat back to Dids for a pizza and some takeaways from The Epicurean. I regularly enjoy 73 Enid St though, their tap on the Bermondsey Beer Mile.

Ha ha that’s the problem with any pub crawl involving the Marble Arch....you end up staying there!

(Only if Manchester Bitter is on tap. If not, I tend to get stroppy and demand to leave!).

Chocolate espresso vanilla nutty notes hides its’ 9% well , very smooth creamy mouthfeel.
Another of my son’s recommendation, buyer at Tesco said it was one of their upcoming craft beers.

Just opened the can 2nd from left bottom row, fancied a light sour after dinner as a pallet cleanser.

Excuse the full quote here however I'd also like to throw my hat into the support your brewery/beer shop ring. There's a lot of quality out there and styles to suit every taste.

My local beer shop is Hopsters in Chelmsford, they also have a shop in Ipswich. They stopped the drink in trade a few days back due to C19, this is around 25% of their overall business (in Cford, at least) so, in order to compensate and still provide the best service possible, they're now offering a delivery service alongside their takeouts.

    https://myhopsters.com/

https://www.facebook.com/hopsterschelmsford (all ales are now refrigerated, not shelved as per the cover 'photo)

    https://www.facebook.com/hopstersipswich

They're knowledgeable, passionate and more than happy to advise newbies and more seasoned drinkers alike. I'd be gutted if they go under.

Hopefully Michael can weather the storm?
My local www.lordshiparms.com is a free house and always has 8 - 10 beers in the cellar. Keeps his beer beautifully, it's going to be difficult
    for him keeping afloat.
To put things into perspective though,
let's not forget all those who have lost loved ones.

No apologies needed CardShark, props to you for supporting your locals. We are so blessed in the UK as beer fans. It will be devastating if we lose the beating heart of the independents in this. The supermarkets and international big beer brands will be just fine. These guys need us now.

Not as pronounced a flavour as you might expect for Guinness, but very nice all the same. You can't go wrong with the milk stout you chose, it's a regular of mine and there's a couple in my cache at the moment.

After 9 days off the juice thanks to illness & self-quarantine - could be this bloody virus, don’t know - I’ve enjoyed two beers from my cellar.

A dry, bitter, pale ale from Tim Taylor’s, where the main flavour is mandarin-rind was a nice start.

Followed by this lovely dessert beer from Mad Squirrel. Looks like a pale, tastes like a vanilla chocolate stout. Lovely drop...

IMG_5633.JPG Managing to avoid most of the Madness in Mexico for the next few days, this beauty is XX beer, the local stuff.

Will definitely be supporting the local breweries when I get back!
