Mmmmm beer. What beer are we drinking tonight?

Over the last 3 nights I think I’ve tried all their draught IPAs.

.. & they even can it for you - so I picked up a couple of growlers to take out for tonight.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in Liverpool.

Had a tough week at work struggling with a cold. Decided to self medicate tonight with a couple of swift Yardbirds then a hot and tasty chicken Madras with green chilli topper. That'll sort it.

You picked up a couple of Scouse growlers?!

I hope you bleached your watch afterwards.

    lol
I took the (non-scouse) Leeds beer for the growlers.

Chronoswiss was deployed as it was hoped non recognisable to scouser non-wis types.

I'm the site Oncall engineer this weekend so it's zero alcohol for me. I've got these two tonight for my fake beer and they are both a decent drink.

^^ Mine too, love the stuff, a couple of locals have recently added it on tap which is marvellous. I need to get to Belgium to experience the beer and chocolate!

Great thread this. I used to work at Batemans, first proper summer holiday job at 16, we used to get an allowance barrel of the XB bitter as a perq to enjoy a quick half at during the day, good times. How does that mocha beer taste, not one I've tried myself.

I attended a beer tasting evening last night at a local independent beer store, we tried 8 different beers including IPAs, sours and stouts. A very knowledgeable host and a small yet enthusiastic crowd of fellow beer lovers made for a brilliant evening, I'll be attending any other events that are laid on for sure.

I came away with this little selection, from L to R: Time&Tide Depth Charge stout, Cloudwater Sour Cherry Imperial stout, Jakehead Supercharged IPA, Duchesse De Bourgogne Flemish Red sour, Common Ground Triple Coffee porter and a Brew York Rhubarbra Streisand pale ale. It'll be the coffee porter tonight, will be poured after posting this.

Big shout out to https://myhopsters.com/ in Chelmsford

Nothing fancy but after doing a few extra 12hr shifts on my rest days, to cover a mate who's off on sick, I think I've deserved this:

Indeed, great value at £1.25. The draught and canned versions are "only" 4.5% rather than the 5.2% of the bottled version.
