Called in Whitelock’s for a bit of lunch and had a couple of Deya Best Foot Forward, really good, classed as a bitter but I found it citrusy/fruity and smooth.

    From BeerHawk Octoberfest selection box.
Did you know oktobetfest beers are brewed stronger?
My selection box has 2x 5 bottles from different breweries. All 6-6.5%

Many happy afternoons spent in there as a student in the mid-90’s, and plenty more after either before or after LUFC home games. I look forward to coming back one day and ordering a pint of something frothy at that marvellous copper bar.

Out for a couple in Granville’s last night before going for some Italian food. Had a Wilde Child Brownie Hunter on cask , really chocolatey and sweet. Then had the Obsidian Phantom on keg but not getting the peanut butter on this so went back to the BH.

Tonight I shall be making a start on this little haul straight from the brewery , 10 litres of White Witch in the box and the bottles will do while the box is chilling

Still working through the supplies I laid in recently. Time for a masked adventure up to the Toon and fill a rucksack with some different stouts and porters.

Trip to Costco for supplies with Mrs T so venture to Northern Monk’s brewery tap as in vicinity! Had a pint of Great Northern Pale Ale , very nice easy drink , followed by 1/2 of Pomona Island Home For The Holograms , 12% thick & oily sweet nutty flavour.

Went for walk Saturday with Mrs T and dogs along canal from Mythomroyd to Hebden Bridge and back. Called in at mates pub and had a couple of Pirlo by Frisky Bear , nice fruity pale. Then picked up a can of Brew York’s Up In Smoke from Jim’s when back home in preparation for Sunday!

Friday night was a quick run to one of the local hostelries with a pal to panic-buy cask ale before the Tier 2 shambles set in. 10pm came around fast so I returned home for a nightcap. £3.50 from Ocado gets you this little treat...

A very nice drop that I will certainly have again.

Last night I took it easy as I had an early start today for some Mountain biking down near Alfriston.

    Fresh, crisp and surprisingly fruity...

And then another excellent hazy boy from Cloudwater...

And after an excellent morning pounding the South Downs and Friston Forest, I popped into Middle Farm Shop’s Cider Barn to get some local brews. They have an excellent selection of beers, cask ales and ciders, along with local wines and soft drinks. It’s an Aladdins Cave...

    Returned with this little selection...

Trying to ensure my local keeps going after having only opened a few weeks back.

    First a Hopback Fugglestone:

And an encouragingly short time later, a Hopback Citra:
