They are on my list as well for those two reasons, along with any retailer that uses their delivery service (and I use the terms delivery and service very loosely where Hermes are concerned).

Chocolate, sweets, crisps, cakes, and biscuits makers. Too much sugar too little taste. All because of cost cutting and profits...
Also as I'm diabetic and thought I would do something about it

Ocado, may be on the hit list, as delivery today has inappropriate substitutions and missing items despite being booked some time ago. It was far worse last year. Would've thought they would have sorted it out.

BMW main dealers. Bunch of arrogant t*ts, knowing they can sell their cars so doing sod all to motivate people to buy them. They charge arm and a leg for parts etc also. Will buy from reputable second hand places and use specialists in future.

I may be adding Virgin to the list to stop TV etc with them. Getting more expensive now. Also my daughter wants to watch stuff and use the tablet too much.

Adobe Photostock: sign up for free and cancel anytime- except we’ll still charge you £23.99 per month for the next two years and make it all but bloody impossible to cancel.

British Airways: constant erosion of benefits, terrible attitudes from crew, we now fly Qatar on all Eastbound flights. Only saviour for BA is the new First Wing at T5 which is admittedly brilliant.

Ocado: food that arrives looking like it had been dragged behind the lorry instead of packed inside it. No thank you.

If your business model is import from china and sell it on with an inflated assurance of quality, then make hay while the sun shines I say. I can order from Aliexpress myself though.

Bosch - your tumble driers are excellent at tumbling for hours, but don’t dry.
Siemens - your dishwashers are great for storing the dishes, but don’t wash.

British Gas - A bunch of overcharging bar stewards who seem to trade with (prey on perhaps) those who haven't spotted that there is competition in utilities these days. I believe their CEO is a Mr I Conn, which gives a clue...

Scottish Power for constantly changing the amount of my direct debit, so that I either end up owing them a grand or they have a grand of my money earning them interest.

BT - For being utterly useless whatever they do.

Orange for their outstanding customer service.

M&S who years ago shagged my credit rating when I forgot to pay £15 on their in house card.

Goldsmiths for damaging a TAG I had in for service. They fixed it but the lack of care was awful.

I'd like to include Edinburgh City Council, for everything they do connected to the city traffic system. Unfortunately I still have to use them.

Not that I go to New York often but Maceys is a store I will never set foot in again.

House of Fraser really pushed their luck earlier this year claiming they’d not had a return despite my having all the courier paperwork.

I always thought dpd were pretty good. They give you a one hour time slot in advance and seem to stick to it, and if it isn't convenient for you it's very easy to rearrange.

You can't do that with parcel farce or my herpes

Currys, I hate them a passion ever since they refused to do anything about a Samsung laptop that my Mum had bought a few years ago.

It was suffering from an intermittent WiFi fault that caused it to randomly disconnect from my parent's Sky router, because the staff managed to connect it to their in-store network they pretty much accused us of lying to our faces. I had to fight tooth & nail for them to allow us to exchange it for a more expensive Sony model.

Awful, awful, awful people to do business with!

Plusnet - poor service and customer care. When I signed up they promised circa 72Mb and a twelve month contract, when I could only get circa 40Mb I told them to drop me to the normal fibre 38Mb which they did, only they did not tell me that that was an 18 month contract. When I came to cancel after 12 months they would not accept that I had been fooled, I had to pay extra to get away.
AO - non-stop phone calls - no I do not want your extended warranty!

Thats it really, not a bad year!

    Tesco - too big
    Starbucks - crap coffee
Panerai - can’t mend their own product
Android phones - break within 18 months
Audi - had one, always on the garage, seem to be driven by thrusting types who apparently own the road
    Barclays Bank
And I’m sure I’ll think of more!

I was helping my Dad set up a new Samsung "smart" TV yesterday and with the connectivity and apps available I've more or less come to the conclusion that there is little need for subscription based television services like Sky anymore.

I remember writing a Media Studies essay about Sky TV when I was at college c.2000 - 2002 which concluded that whilst the service offered plenty of choice there was little to no variety of choice, I believe the same is true today.

That said, we still continue to shell out a small fortune each month for Sky Q - fools and their money eh!

Bruce Springsteen had the right idea back as far back as 1992: “57 Channels (and nothin’ on)”. Even more channels nowadays and most of them needn’t be there.

BT. Its refusal to offer decent Broadband infrastructure to anywhere remotely rural andt the overseas call centre where people simply read a from a script and whom you can barely understand, or understand you. When Gigaclear establish FTTP in this area (supposedly sometime in late 2018) BT and the landline will be ditched and I'll decide on a new mobile network provider.

Any company that does not have a non-premium telephone contact number and UK based call centre.

TalkTalk - my internet has been significantly worse since they took over the Virgin Media ISP in my area.

Ryanair - never flown with them and never would - as they appear to be run by a idiot/crook.

Most of the couriers seem to be poor and unreliable, invented excuses when clearly they never even tried to deliver. The best seems to be the local Amazon Polish who deliver in the evening and an Sundays (had one today).

The NHS - it is so dis-organised and the staff seem to float through the day in lala land, no energy or urgency. Last time had the misfortune to have to use the local hospital they had a room full of customers waiting and 3 of the nurses were sat talking about the Xmas party arrangements. I had a go and said I was leaving which caused some sort of incident with them trying to insist I had to fill out a form.

The local Doctors Surgery seems to think it is a business but has no idea about customer service or running a business.

No it was something about having to 'self discharge'.
When I refused they asked me not to leave and said they would treat me within 5 mins which they did.

I did feel bad as I was not trying to 'jump' any queue, I was just p1ssed off with how unprofessional, slow and dis-organised they were seemingly lacking any awareness of customer service. In my opinion the NHS needs a big shake up not more money.

Now, if we’re going to add TV chefs or, worse, TV presenters this could be a long, long list.

PS I’ll take your James Martin and raise you one Nigel Slater!
