Which watch will you be wearing on Christmas Day?

Since I will be in the kitchen for the most part, I was thinking ether a Chronograph to time the spuds or a Diver - I have a deep sink!. Narrowing the choices down further to one of these two:

I suspect I will finish up wearing the Glycine and use the Amazon Dot for timing the food. Anyone else started to consider their watch for the festive period?

    Bremont Victory for me.

Hang on guys, don't be preempting the annual 'Christmas Day - What are you wearing' thread.

The challenge to you all is to be the person who starts the thread - I started it last year so won't be in the running this year.

We'll be going to my eldest son's for Christmas dinner so probably something understated and charming....

    Cheers,

My Dad had a very similar looking watch to that, with a date function, Geneve text and on a gold mesh bracelet which dated from the early/mid 70's but sadly it was stolen some years ago.
A great piece of family history to wear on what is often the biggest family event of the year!

That's not much of a challenge is it?

This is actually my first addition to any WRUW thread this year and will be the last.

There's a limit to how much showing off that can be done in one year.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

Depends on the weather if it's sunny, my Daytona, which sparkles in the sun. If gloomy.... not sure. Probably my Portugeiser. No particular reason.

I was going to wear this one

But the FedEx guy just made a delivery and the wife grabbed it and ran but not before I saw the Steinhart name on the front. I'm guessing it will be whatever Steinhart is going to be under the Christmas tree.

    No idea...

Probably NOT my Seiko Fifty Five Fathoms mod as I've been wearing it for 3 days.

I think I'm going to put on my Omega Big Yellow tomorrow (but who knows ), so I guess it might be that or I may go a bit dressier and wear one of my smaller vintage watches or my Certina Moonphase.

    Or...

Cheap plastic Casio digital in the morning, I’m determined to take stepdaughters Labrador out for a few miles and that’s the watch to wear. I always go for a run on Christmas morning, it’ll be light jogging this year (achilles injury) but I’ll do it.

Jog with the dog, bound with the hound, clean him up , clean me up, then walk round to stepdaughters for Christmas dinner........hopefully wearing my freshly restored pie-pan Constellation if I get it finished!

Can’t wait, finally starting to get into the Christmas spirit!

This one of course, though I am unlikely to be flying or refuelling.

Mainly because I am not in the RAF and I am to old.

I thought I'd woken up on one of the "other forums" where they have things like "what watch Wednesday at 2pm after a cheese sandwich" type threads. This would have been fine on the 25th, but it's not even Friday yet . . .

That’s so horrible I like it.

    Edit

Found it on eBay was it the descriptions that hooked you?

The 15200, as like any other day, its all I wear unless I'm Hiking/Painting/Down the Tip!

Possibly with the Leather or the Oyster bracelet, depends how I feel!

Polar Expl. 2. Same watch I've worn on Christmas Day since I acquired it, now on its its fourth consecutive Christmas wear. Some good choices in the thread and reasons behind them

I too have one of these and it only gets occasional wear - black tie do type events. Might be nice to wear it on Christmas Day.

That’s beautiful. Is that what’s referred to as a Rhodium dial?

Nope, this older version of the Oyster Perpetual is just plain old 'grey'
It has a really nice subtle sunburst effect when it catches the light.
