Even for a Patek this markup has got to be ridiculous for a watch that's been out around a year. Guess timing-wise with banking bonuses being announced soon - this might get snapped up fairly quickly.

They only made 1300 of the WG 40th Anniversary 5976 – you’ll not see one listed for less than £110K.
Have you seen the price of the discontinued SS 5980? They’re listed at close to double their last MSRP.

But it’s been there a long time now, it isn’t the market price clearly, I reckon it’s on an agreed sale or return while they work out what the market will pay. A few of these are up on the same terms and wf wouldn’t sink that much into an unknown.

Re the steel 5980, I thought they last retailed at 33k (white dial) or there abouts before being discontinued as I was offered one by an ad, not double the price yet. If they are listing a rrp less than that then it is for a blue when first launched.

Agreed market price? Maybe not, but can’t be too far from other dealers. I know there is an LE of 1300, but let’s be sensible there are a lot less buyers of watches over £50k never mind £100k - taking longer to sell than cheaper watches is surely not unreasonable.

I know an owner of the 40th 5711p, which I understand have a similar markup to their original selling price, so too the dual time research model in white gold.
It's just a matter of time...
