    Doxa "Black Lung" arrives.

Anybody else got theirs? Mine's just turned up: haven't got the stickers off yet but thought I'd grab a quick (crappy) pick while the sun was shining.
So far looks good, certainly nicely put together and the domed crystal is wonderfully retro.

Now de-stickerd (so many many stickers): time set and stuck on.
Also had to take a -screwed not pinned- link out to get a comfy fit which was a nice change as usually bracelets are usually too short.
Will try and get a decent pic up but here's a couple more for now.

That really is a good looking watch!

Im very jealous of you and the other 299 people that will get to own one. I did have a look at the official Doxa website a few weeks ago but the watch was sold out.

    Enjoy.

I like that a lot, congratulations on getting such a lovely rare piece. The fact I can't have one makes me want it more.

Thanks for the thumbs up, even though it's still a fair size it almost feels dainty after my GS sbga029, and I wouldn't worry about missing the boat on these I bet Doxa will come up with a way to make more of them. After all If panerai have taught us anything it's that special editions numbers are an elastic concept 🙃

Very nice indeed. There is something about those orange Doxas.

Not sure about the "black lung" but otherwise lovely.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

There's a few listed on eBay now and the lowest was $4,400.

I'm not sure what the RRP was and the official Doxa website just states it as sold out.

    Great photos BTW.

What's the premium for the logo?

The 300 is a classic though...

How much are these things these days?

I had a Doxa a while back and gave up with them when their service wasn't great in getting the issue resolved. There was also all kinds of bad press about one of their reps or something? Has that all gone away now?

    This new one looks nice.

Only asking the questions as I lost track of Doxa after my experience with them.

So this one cost me $2,678 including taxes and delivery to the UK. I make that just under £2k in real money. I think that is good value for a very well received watch and only 300 of them made.
In terms of Doxa customer service, not something I have experienced as yet but things seem to have improved based on what I am reading in the various forums.

I had a pretty poor/confusing/infuriating experience with Doxa customer service regarding this Black Lung watch.

Watch was still worth it in my opinion.
